Chapter Forty Two

Edeline’s P.O.V
It was the next day and I slowly started waking up to see that Harry wasn’t there and I tried to be quiet as I got off the couch that I was sleeping on to look for him before I heard someone whisper my name, “Edeline” I heard Hermione say and I looked to see that she was sitting up, “sorry, did I wake you?” I asked her, “no, you didn’t” she said before she looked on the floor at Ron, “where’s Harry?” she asked, “I don’t know, I was going to look for him.” I said to her before Ron started waking up himself, “bloody hell, what time is it?” he asked as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, “not sure, Hermione and I had just gotten up ourselves.” I told him as he stood up, “where’s Harry?” he asked us, “we don’t know.” Hermione told him before the three of us looked around before Ron and I found something, “Harry, Hermione, where are you? I think Edeline and I found something.” Ron said loud enough for them to hear before they found us, “Lovely.” Hermione said as she walked into the room before she looked at the door, “Regulus Arcturus Black.” Hermione read out loud, “R.A.B” Ron suggested, “is that supposed to mean something?” I asked them, “there was a note in the locket and at the end of it, it said R.A.B” Hermione told me and I nodded, “Regulus could be the one. His name matches the Initials.” I told them before the four of us made it back downstairs and into the kitchen and we continued to talk about it as Harry read out the note that was in the Locket, “now I will be dead long before you read this. I’ve stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it.” Harry said as he finished before Ron spoke up, “R.A.B, Sirius’s brother?” he asked, “I assume it is.” I said to him, “yes. Question is, did he actually destroy the real Horcrux?” Hermione said to us, “we won’t know until we find out for sure.” I said to her before we heard something from behind the door and we all got up to see what it was and both Harry and I went over to it and once I put my hand on the door knob I looked at Harry before he nodded and I quickly opened the door to see that it was Kreature before Harry dragged him out, “you been spying on us have you?” Harry asked him, “Kreature has been watching.” He said to us, “Maybe he knows where the real locket is.” Hermione suggested before Harry grabbed it and showed it to Kreature, “have you seen this before?” Harry asked him as he slightly staggered away at the sight of it, “Kreature.” Harry said, “it’s Master Regulus’s Locket.” Kreature told us, “but there were two, weren’t there?” Harry asked him, “where’s the other one?” I asked him, “Kreature doesn’t know where the other Locket is.” Kreature said to us, “yes but did you ever see it? Was it in this house?” Hermione asked him, “Filthy Mudblood. Death Eaters will come” Kreature began to say and we stopped Ron from hitting him, “Blood Traitor Weasley” Kreature continued  before I spoke up, “another word like that, that comes out of your mouth, you won’t have a tongue to be able to do so again, do you understand?” I said to Kreature and he said nothing, “answer her.” Harry said, “yes, it was here. In this house. A most Evil object.” Kreature told us, “how do you mean?” Harry asked him, “Before Master Regulus died, he Ordered Kreature to destroy it but no matter how hard Kreature tried, he could not do it.” Kreature told us, “Well, where is it now?” Harry asked him, “did someone take it?” I asked him, “he came in the night. He took many things including the Locket.” Kreature told us, “who did? Who was it, Kreature?” Harry asked him, “was it anyone you?” I asked him as he tried to remember before speaking up, “Mundungus. Mundungus Fletcher.” Kreature told us, “Find him.” Harry told him, “and bring him here. We’re going to have a little chat with that git.” I said to him before Kreature Apparated to do so.

We were all in the living room waiting for Kreature to get back with Mundungus and I was sitting by the window with Fawkes as I petted him as I looked outside while Hermione was teaching Ron how to play the piano and I went to sit with them before Hermione got up and went to sit with Harry as Ron turned on his radio and the both of us began to listen to it before he spoke up, “you’re worried aren’t you?” he asked and I nodded, “yup, mostly for mum and dad. Especially mum, she just found out she was expecting.” I told him as I sighed a little, “I’m sure she will be alright. I know she will have people at the school to be there for her if anything bad happens. And I’m sure she would be able to go home before having the kid considering they can’t force her to have it there.” he told me, “I know, but who knows to be honest.” I told him before we heard something from the other room before going to see what it was and soon saw Kreature with Mundungus along with Dobby, “bloody hell.” I said to them, “Harry Potter and Edeline Lupin. So long it’s been.” Dobby said to us and I smiled at Dobby before it faded as we saw them struggling with Mundungus before falling to the ground, “as requested, Kreatcher has returned with the thief.” Kreature told us, “thank you Kreature.” I said to him as asMundungus tried to take out his wand, “Expelliarmus.” Hermione said as she disarmed him, “what you playing at. Setting a pair of bleeding elves after me.” Mundungus said to us, “Dobby was only trying to help but Dobby saw Kreature in Diagon Alley which Dobby thought was curious and then, Dobby heard Kreatcher mention Harry Potter and Edeline Lupin’s names and then Dobby saw Kreatcher talking with the Thief-” Dobby said before Mundungus cut him off, “I’m no thief. You fowl little, git” Mundungus, “good choice.” I said to him before he continued, “I’m a buyer of rare and wondrous objects.” he told us and I rolled my eyes a little, “you’re a thief Dung, everyone knows it.” Ron said to him, “he’s not wrong. I’m just surprised Moody trusted you in the first place.” I said to him, “Master Weasley, so good to see you,” Dobby said as he shook hands with Ron, “wicked trainers.” Ron said to him, “listen, I panicked that night, alright. Could I help it if Mad-Eye fell off his broom and Rosalie failed to help him?” Mundungus, “lie all you want Fletcher, but she didn’t fail to help, you did. So don’t you dare speak my mothers name again.” I said to him, “what’s wrong with your eyes?” he asked me, “nevermind that, tell the truth.” Hermione said to him, “when you turned this place over, don’t deny it, you found a locket, am I right?”Harry said to him, “why? Was it valuable?” Mundungus asked, “you still got it.” Hermione mentioned, “he was worried he didn’t get enough money for it.” Ron said to us, “I didn’t give it away, didn’t I. there I was fumbling my way in Diagon Alley when some Ministry hag came up and asked for me to see my license. Says she’s wanting to lock me up. I would have done it if only she hadn’t taken a fancy to that locket.” he told us, “who was she? The Witch, do you know?” Harry asked him, “no I- well, she’s there. Look, bleeding bow and all.” Mundungus said as he brought the paper over to the table for us to see that he was talking about Umbridge, “that bloody Hag.” I said to them and throughout the rest of the night, we had decided to let Mundungus go before we talked about what to do about getting the Locket from Umbridge before going to bed later that night.

Rosalie’s P.O.V
It was the day school had started back up again and along with the rest of the Teachers and Staff, I had to go back but at the same time, I didn’t want to go but I knew that I had to, “be careful please, who knows what’s going on there now.” Remus told me, “don’t worry darling, I’ll be alright. I made more Wolfsbane before your transformation the other night so you should be fine for a while but do let me know when you’re running low and I’ll figure something out alright.” I told him and he nodded before kissing the top of my head before we said goodbye and I used the Floo Network to get to Hogwarts before the students had gotten there and eventually bumped into Minerva, “oh good you’re here, do you mind if we talk in private?” she asked and I nodded, “yes of course. Is everything alright?” I asked her and she sighed a little as we walked into another room, “that’s the thing dear, Severus is Headmaster now and he has hired a couple of  Death Eaters as staff members, I just thought you should know just in case they start asking questions.” she told me and I nodded, “alright, thanks for letting me know.” I told her, “I’m just glad you’re alright dear. I heard about what had happened when you were transporting your daughter and Harry a while back.” she said, “yeah, we were ambushed, none of us suspected much. We guessed someone might have let slip about it happening.” I told her, “well, you’re alright and that’s all that matters. Do you know if you’ll ever hear from Edeline or Harry?” she said to me and I shrugged, “I don’t know and I’d rather not risk it to be honest considering I haven’t seen them since Bill and Fleur’s wedding, we were attacked then as well. They questioned us about Harry and Edeline but they gave up when no one said anything about where they'd gone.” I told her, “I’m sorry to hear that dear, let’s just hope for the best and that they are safe.” she told me, “yeah, that’s all we have right now, hope.” I told her before we made it into the Great Hall and Snape explained everything before Students started walking in before Minerva walked into the Great Hall with the first year students before the Sorting Ceremony had started and once it was over, Snape had spoken to everyone about the changes he had made before the year had started before everyone had started eating and throughout dinner, I hadn’t eaten much of my food as I was nervous considering I had to sit next to Alecto Carrow but I was glad when dinner was over and Snape had dismissed everyone to their dorms for the night.

Once I made it to my room that night, I could help but let out a heavy sigh that I didn’t know I was holding in as I took a moment to myself before hearing a knock on my door and I hesitated at first before slowly walking to my door before I began to open it only to see that it was Minerva and I let her inside before closing the door, “how are you feeling dear? You haven’t eaten much at dinner.” She said to me, “Minerva, I can’t do it. I can’t be here when there’s Death Eater’s throughout the entire school.” I told her as I began to panic, “Rosalie, look at me dear. Nothing will happen, do you understand? Snape may be Headmaster but we both know that it won’t last long for him or the Death Eaters that he brought here.” she told me and I slowly began to calm down a little before putting my hand over my stomach, “you are with child.” she said to me and I nodded, “yes. We don’t know the gender of it yet though. I only just found out before bringing Harry to the Burrow.” I told her and she smiled a little, “well, there’s at least some light during this time of darkness.” she told me and I smiled back a little, “I guess so. This is probably the only good thing that’s happened so far.” I told her as the both of us sat down after making a cup of tea and we continued to talk for a while as it brought my mind away from everything else, “have you thought of names at all yet dear?” she asked me and I nodded, “yeah I did, Sirius James Lyall if it's a boy and Avalon Lillian Minerva if it’s a girl.” I told her and she smiled a little, “that’s sweet dear. I wish for the best through your pregnancy.” she told me, “Me too.” I said to her before we talked for a while before she left my room that night and I had gotten ready for bed that night and I wrote a letter for Remus as I decided to send it out first thing in the morning before I had gone to bed that night.
