This is a Slayer Squad (Lucas, David, and Mario) + Kit story. Mostly Mario focused, and all fluff past the wings growing part and a tad side bit of Mavid. Also finally I have some FLUFF FOR YOU GUYS! You have been craving it, I KNOW. Yeah, so I hope y'all like it. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!!!

The door to the Guild Hall opens with its usual small creak, the creak that Ritchie keeps saying he's going to fix and never has. Mario pads inside, his feet soundless against the hardwood floor.

"Mario!" Kit's voice echoes through the
building as the Phoenix Slayer dangles herself directly in front of Mario, newly found strange tail wrapped around one of the ledges on the wall. "How's my favorite older brother doing on this fine morning?"

"I'm basically your only older brother, Kid," Mario snorts. "Lucas and David are asshats. There more like your weird cousins. And I'm fine."

"Not true, but okay."

Kit tilts her head and shifts, body disappearing for a moment before blinking back into existence next to Mario. Yeah, that was another thing. Mario couldn't see Kit when she was transformed into any kind of Phoenix form, something about a Dragon Curse from hundreds of years ago or whatever. But sometimes, when Kit used her invisible wings to glide to the ground, she temporarily became invisible to the Dragon Slayer before reappearing. Whatever. That's not the point.

"Are you sure your okay, Big bro? You look pale." Kit holds a hand out to check Mario's temperature, which Mario bats away.

"I'm fine, Kit," Mario says. "Just didn't sleep well."

"Hmm," Kit says. "Well, I know what'll make you feel better." She tosses something back and forth between his hands, a small wrapped up package of some sort, then holds it out Mario with a bright grin. "Kay's famous cookies!"

Mario plucks the wrapped up cookies from her hand. "Thanks, I gu-" he feels through his pocket, digging for the pouch of cookies he carries with him everywhere, only to find it suspiciously empty. "Wait, these are my Cookies! When the heck did you steal these, you little gremlin?"

Kit disappears again with an echoing giggle. "Lucas actually made breakfast in the guild hall today, Big Bro," she says from somewhere behind Mario. "You should go eat it before it gets cold."

Mario really wanted to say, 'Fuck off,' But he could never swear at Kit. Only at Lucas and David.

"Right. Thanks, Kit," Mario mutters, making his way further into the Guild Hall.

Lucas and David are already standing inside, Lucas in the middle of flipping pancakes as they talk. When Mario makes his way over to them, David turns to him and closes the remaining distance in a flash of quick legs, swinging an arm over his shoulder.

"Mario, Mario," The Devil Slayer says excitedly, "I finished building another level of the obstacle course!"

Mario groans. "God damn it," he says. "David, I nearly broke my leg on the last one."

"Which is why you need to improve if you ever want to get better at it, and get wings in your Dragon Slayer form," David says, tapping his boyfriend's nose. "Kit and Bryan can't be the only fliers around here."

"You know, I can already fly!" Mario says, rolling his eyes. David opened his mouth to comment, presumably about how it was only in his Dragon King Mode, but Mario kept talking.
"But fine, I'll do your stupid training course if it's what you want."

"Don't worry, Mario," Lucas says from the other side of the room. "I'll catch you if you fall."

"Not falling is, like, the one thing he can do," David says with a snort, referring to how Mario can always catch himself with a vine or a rock after he falls.
