Fun fact, started writing this as I was waiting to get my hair dyed (It's not a cool color, it's natural), which I didn't want to do but my mom forced me to because she's kind of an asshole.

Another fun-fact, this was originally chapter 69, in my drafts. Lmaooooo

"You should dye a strand of your hair."

That was what Kit told him when she showed up at his house for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Of course, Mario was confused.

"What?" He asked over a mouthful of one of Kay's cookies, which he promptly swallowed after he realized that he was acting like he was a 7 year old. Although Kit wouldn't care. Her manners were worse than David's.

"I'm serious!" She exclaimed, making an exaggerated hand motion that was so quick that it was something only Mario would understand. "You should totally dye a strand of your hair!"

Mario crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, leaning back in his chair as he looked over at the Phoenix Slayer that he always referred to as a little sister. "Why would I ever do that?"

Kit rolled her eyes and sighed, which Mario didn't quite appreciate, but didn't comment on either way. "Because, Mario!" She dragged out. "It would look super cool!"

Mario looked Kit over. She seemed genuinely excited by the idea, her blonde hair frazzled as it tangled around the signature red feather in her hair. Her blue eyes shinned with excitement, light blue glimmering in the light that filtered through Mario's living room window.

Mario sighed. "What color would I even dye it?" He asked, going through colors that he thought would look nice in his raven black hair.

Kit perked up, basically quivering with excitement. "Does that mean that you'll let me help you dye it?!!"

"One, no, you are not going to help me. If I even am going to dye my hair, you are not going anywhere near it." Mario scoffed. Kit frowned, muttering, 'That was rude' under her breath as Mario continued. "Two, this doesn't mean I'm actually going to do it. It means that I might do it, and that I am currently considering the possibility." Mario concluded, shaking his head softly.

Kit sighed, muttering a few more things i'd er her breath, but continued on. "Well, I was thinking, you could get, like, a front strand of Dark Green or something. Because, you know, Earth Magic! I'm going to get Red!"

Mario scoffed. "Everything you own is already in red, Kid."

"Well, yeah!" She said defensively. "It's my favorite color!"

"I know." Mario said fondly, a smile on his face as he took another bite of his cookie. To be perfectly honest, it was an interesting idea. Mario had never thought about coloring his hair before. Although, he wasn't exactly against it. The Dragon Slayer hummed as he caught a glance of himself in the reflection of Kit's glass. What would he look like if he dyed a strand of his hair? Would he look good or bad? He honestly wasn't too sure about it all. But he supposed he was willing to try it, if it was something Kit wanted to do.

"Theoretically," Mario started, taking a sip of his hot chocolate. "How would we, you know, actually dye our hair?"

Kit grinned. "Well, we could either go to a shop and have somebody do it for us, or we could order hair dye and do it ourselves. I like the second idea better, because we could, like, temporarily dye it first to see if we like it."

Mario raised an eyebrow. "That's a thing?"

"What?"

"Temporary hair dye?"
