The next morning, David met up with Mario.

The two, like normal, met at the old skatepark, the one that nobody but Mario went to anymore as it was broken and had chains blocking the entrance. That never stopped David and Mario, though, the two boys liking the danger that went along with breaking the rules.

David had met Mario about two years ago. They had met as a result of them attempting to steal the same sandwich at the same time, and both of them having to run so they didn't get caught, which then led to them arguing, and eventually the two becoming what they would consider as, 'best friends'. Although the romantic tension was totally there. To anybody who wasn't one of the two boys, it was obvious they both liked each other. But they both thought they stood no chance. Heck, the two boys didn't even know that they were both Bisexual. Funny, innit?

Either way, as David approached the skatepark, it was already midday. It was summer, but it wasn't unreasonably hot like he assumed it would be. Mario sat in a crack in the pavement, overhung with a purposefully placed crushed construction ladder that was covered with cardboard and a stolen tarp from Ace Hardware. It might not be much, but it was the two boys hangout. Their home, in many ways.

"Ayup, Pebbles!" David said, grinning once he saw the boy whom he had a crush on. He wore his usual plain green T-shirt and black ripped jeans, his emerald earring hanging out of his ear and his dark onyx eyes staring out with a facade David could see right through, his real eyes holding passion and emotion beyond what anybody else would see. So yeah, Mario looked pretty normal, although for some reason he added the addition of a dark green beanie that he only seemed to wear on the hottest days of the year. He looked hot, though, so David wasn't going to comment.

"David," Mario greeted, a small grin on his face. His eyes seemed to glow in the sun, which was something that wasn't really normal for most people but was something David had gotten used to. Mario had weird eyes, that was something David learned to get used to. His eyes were slightly rounder than most, kind of like Lucas's, actually. And they were very shiny, but David thought that was just because of his contacts that he wore, them not changing the pretty brown tint to his eyes even though the layer of plastic.

David grinned, sitting down next to Mario. Mario wordlessly handed the other boy half of his sandwich, David grinning as he bit into the doughy french bread. The two ate in silence for a while, enjoying each other's quiet company. But eventually, mouths were full and stomachs were filled, and the two boys had nothing to do other than talk. Which neither of them minded, but Mario would surely deny he liked the other boy's company.

"So, how've you been?" Mario started the first bit of there conversation, nonchalantly licking the remainders of his sandwich from the dulled edge of his pocket knife.

David swallowed his last piece of bread, watching as Mario licked the grease from his knife. "That's hot," David merely commented with his usual heavy grin.

Mario just sighed, face turning a tad pink. Did Mario mention that David had a habit of being a total flirt. Mhm. Must have forgotten to mention that.

"You didn't answer the question," Mario brushed it off, knowing full well by now not to retort to any of David's flirty comments.
