chapter 12

kaylins pov:

4 days later: (2 weeks since getting clean yay!)

rafe and i had been sitting on the couch for a while when someone knocked on the door. i got up and opened it. "holy shit your alive" the girl said to me.

"nessa!" i laughed as i pulled her in for a hug. "oh my god i have so much to tell you." i said and she smiled. "me too! california has been, well weird."
she said.

we both walked inside and she stopped to look at me when she saw rafe. "oh uhm hi vanessa." rafe said and she gave him a small wave. she whispered in my ear, "i thought you guys broke up after, well you know." i said, "we did for like a month but we're back together." she nodded and gave a slight smile

vanessa had been my best friend for as long as i could remember. i forgave her for sleeping with rafe because they were both high and drunk. i knew she didn't mean it. i hadn't talked to her in a while because of everything that was going on.

"okay, lets get this party started." she said as she took a bag of coke out of her pocket.

i looked at rafe and we both froze. "what? i know you both fuck with this shit." she said. "yeah we do." rafe responded. we both gave each other a apologetic look before we went and sat on the bar stools. nessa took out a credit card and formed six lines. two in front of me, two in front of rafe, and two in front of her.

i looked at him and then the powder. i had a million thoughts in my head. i didn't want to do it but before i knew it i had bent my head down to snort the powder. i snorted both lines and lifted my head up. a sense of euphoria filled me and i looked at rafe. he hadn't snorted the lines, yet.

"come on rafe don't be a pussy. you were the one who sold my first bag of it to me." vanessa said. "fuck it." he said and was about to snort the lines. "you don't have to just because i did." i said to him. he looked at me and replied, "i can't not do it baby."

he snorted both lines and so did vanessa. she clapped her hands. "wait! we should throw a rager." she said eagerly. i hadn't gotten high in a while so the drug had enhanced effects on me.

"fuck yes!" i replied and rafe nodded agreeing. we all texted everyone we knew:
rager at tannyhill 9pm

i remembered all the coke i gave jj, i doubt he would throw that away, it's worth too much. "rafe would should go steal our coke back from jay." i said. he replied, "fuck do you think he still has it?" "jj wouldn't get rid of 10,000$ worth of drugs." i said and he laughed.

"i'm coming with." vanessa said. "i can distract him. he can never take his eyes off me anyway." she finished. me and rafe laughed at her and we all got into her car. i remembered he went to the chataeu the night he took it, so it was probably there.

when we arrived we all wiped the extra powder off our noses. "for confidence?" nessa asked me while handing me a credit card with some coke on the end. i snorted it and said, "for confidence."

we all walked into the house and jj was knocked out on the couch. kie and pope were talking in the kitchen and john b wasn't there. "vanessa!" kiara yelled and ran to hug her. they weren't close friends but it had been a while. "hey guys" pope said and continued looking at a map.

"i just forgot something here a while ago, me and rafe just wanna find it." i said and they both shrugged their shoulders. rafe and i walked into john b's draw and looked around for a few minutes before we found it stashed in a draw. all the weed was gone, so jj probably smoked it. i laughed to myself a little and threw it all in a bag.

"found it!" i said walking out of the room. "i looked everywhere for this bikini." i lied and they just laughed. "also, rager at tannyhill in two hours. be there." i said as jj woke up. "who said rager." we all started laughing and they agreed to come.

vanessa rafe and i went to the liquor store, and we used our fakes to buy 3,000$ worth of alcohol. we loaded it all up into the car and drove back to tannyhill. we had a little clean up session and put all the alcohol on the counter. i threw all the coke in a tote bag, since we would probably sell some of it.

i wasn't worried about jj finding out i had it, i would just say i was selling it. "you guys have solo cups?" vanessa asked. "yea right in this cabinet." i took out the cups and put them on the island. i threw some chips and other snacks into bowls and set those out too.

"okay looks like we're ready." rafe said and we all sat on the couch. we had texted about 200 people to come, but in the first 30 minutes around 250 already showed up.
