The next morning JJ woke up from a nice sleep with a big smile on his face. He wasn't sure exactly why he was feeling so content but it was a nice feeling so he just went with it.

He walked merrily down the hall into the front room where he found an empty sofa with a blanket neatly folded on it. JJ felt a momentary twang in his chest. He wasn't really sure why though, he'd helped her out and now she's gone back home, what's wrong with that.

He shrugged his shoulders and started to get on with his day. He showered, ate, threw on some swimming trunks and headed for the beach. This was typical behaviour for JJ. Although a lot of the time he was what you could call unpredictable to say the least, he could always be depended on to be found in the water on a day like today.

Kiara sat alone soaking up the morning sun on the sand. She hoped that JJ would have just brushed of her absence and assume she'd gone home, but the truth is she just didn't want the uncomfortable feeling of being told to leave. Why would he want her around anyway? She hates rejection, she got enough of it at home, she didn't need more added on. So she had moved herself from the house to the beach and just sat there for a few hours, just thinking.

She would never have expected to see the handsome blonde yet again in the distance. She wondered if he thought she was rude for just leaving like that, or if he was relieved. Somehow. Her thoughts were so consuming that she didn't even notice him walk right up to her.

"Hey stranger" he joked lightheartedly.

She gives a faint smile and stays silent for a moment.

" isn't that what we are...... strangers" she replies

JJ moves he hands to his chest and mimicked being hurt.
"Ouch"

" I just meant I don't know anything about you , other than that your a pogue and the same for you"

" that's not true, I know loads about you" he grins.

She raises her eyebrows " like what?"

" we'll I know that you love to surf, I know it makes you feel calm like nothing else does. I know you care deeply about others and put their feelings before your own, I know your clean and tidy by how you left this morning, I know...."

" ok , ok, I get it" she laughs.

Kiaras surprised but also very impressed by the skills of his observation. But why would he pay so much interest too her?

" can I ask you a question JJ ?"

" Go for it" he shoots back

" what does it feel like?"

" what does what feel like?" He replies confused.

" to be free"
