"I should go" Kiara said suddenly sitting up in bed.

"What?no?stay"

"Please" he reaches over to her bringing her back into a cuddle.

"Look, I just need to go home, check in with my parents, shower and get changed. I'll come back later if you want" she smiled

"Is that even a question" he smirked.

She laughed as she got out of his bed after giving him a peck on the lips and then left the room. JJ watched her leave from bed until she was out of sight of his door, he couldn't contain his smile.

Kiara walked through her front door a little nervous. After all her mum had slapped her the last time she was here, which had never happened before.

She didn't see anyone so she just went straight up to her room to shower.

She had a long relaxing shower and then got changed into a comfy outfit. She was just brushing her hair when the brush fell out of her hand and made a bang against the floor.

"Kiara? Is that you?" Mike asked as he was walking down the corridor.

"Yeah just me dad"

He opened her door and took a step into her room.

"You ok?" He said softly

"Yeah?" She replies confused as she continued to brush her hair.

He motions to the mark on her cheek.
"Oh, well I guess I have mum to thank for that don't i" she said sarcastically.

"You know she did't mean it"

"And how am I supposed to know that? She hasn't even said sorry to me?" She replied annoyed.

"Neither of you have" she added quietly.

"What?" Mike asked confused.

"You just watched, you never did anything"

"I'm sorry" he sounded genuinely upset. So she decided to let it go.

"Its ok" she smiled "where's mum?"

"Well.... She's got a surprise for you"

"Oh god"

Anna and Kiara had a weird conversation, somewhat brushing the incident under the rug. For now. Kiara was not going to forget that in a hurry.

Anna had told her she had a surprise to make it up to her and convinced kiara to dress up.

"So where are we going?" Kiara asked her parents as she came downstairs ready to leave.

"Well...." Anna said suspiciously

*ding dong

"Who's that?" Kiara asked immediately worried.

"You'll see!" Anna said excitedly as she approached the front door.

"No. Mum who is that" kiara was getting more and more worried by the second, what the hell was this.

She was shocked by the face she saw when her mum opened the door.

"Tyler?" She said in disbelief.

This was a guy she'd had a crush on in like 7th grade. Mainly because he was the popular boy at her school. His parents were always super rich, so her parents were always naturally trying to impress them, sometimes even using Kiara to do it. He was definitely the last person she expected to see.

Tyler leant walked up to her to give her a hug.
"Kiara! Your even more beautiful then I remember"
Kiara laughed awkwardly over his shoulder whilst giving her mum daggers.

But he mum was beaming at this interaction.

"Let's eat!" She clapped.

*back at the chateau

Kiara was meant to come over hours ago and she'd stopped answering his texts.

"Right, I'm going over there"  JJ said getting up of the couch.

"You don't think you'll come on a bit strong" John B smirked taking a swig of his beer.

JJ raised his eyebrows. " hmm coming for the guy who told me to stop running and do what I feel"

"Touché"

JJ nodded and smiled before giving John B a salute and walking out the door.

He wasn't checking up on her, he just wanted to see her, spend time with her. And if she hadn't turned up on time there might be something wrong. He had to check.

His bike pulled up to her house, as always he's in awe of the vast size of it. I don't think he'll ever get used to it.

To his relief he could see kiara through the window in the distance as he got of his bike. She was smiling. And so was he as he walked closer, until he saw someone else, a boy.

"Wtf" he muttered to himself confused

Was that Tyler? He vaguely remembers him from years ago before he'd moved away from the OBX. Tyler's dad had sacked his father a while back, so naturally he doesn't like him.

JJ could see them all now. Kiara, Tyler, Mike and Anna all laughing and smiling at the table eating a lovely meal. Something he would never have. Clearly Kiara knew this. She never turned up because she got a better offer.

"Screw that" he kicked the ground and jumped back onto his bike before zooming away.

As he did, Kiara heard the noise of it outside.

"Excuse me" kiara politely stood up and walked over to the window in the kitchen just in time to catch a glimpse of JJ before he finished out of sight.

"Shit"
