Blurring the lines ~ Jiara

Country club

After staying at the chateau for another night, the next morning Kiara knew she needed to head home.

"Bye" she pecked JJ as she got out of bed to leave. He's still half asleep.

"noo" he whined

"Stay"

"I'll see you later"

When Kiara arrived home, there was something weird. Her mum was obsessively cleaning when she walked in.

"Are we expecting visitors?" Kiara asks

"Well" Anna smiled, she couldn't contain her excitement.

"I've asked Tyler to accompany you to the party at the country club tonight" she beamed

"What!"

"Isn't that great" she adds

"I can't go?"

"Don't be silly, of course your going"

"No I'm not, first of all I told you ages ago I had absolutely no interest in going to this stupid party, and second of all I .... I have plans"

"What plans?" Anna laughs

"Look it doesn't matter, I'm not going and that's it" she says firmly before starting to walk up the stairs to her room.

"But what about Tyler?" He mum shouts after her.

"I'm sure he'll get over it" Kiara mutters sarcastically.

"But you two make such a lovely couple?"

"Yet another reason not to go! I .... I have a boyf....look I'm just not interested in him ok?" she sighs.

She hesitates because Technically her and JJ weren't officially boyfriend and girlfriend, but she wanted them to be, and it was definitely heading that way. She sure as hell didn't want to go to a party with anyone other than him.

"Will you at least think about it?" Anna pleads

"Ok" kiara says to please her mum for now, still having no intention of going.

She plonks herself down on her bed and immediately turns on her phone.

*rings JJ.

"Hello?" He answers obviously still half asleep.

"Sorry did I wake you up?" She smiles

"Err no, no I'm totally awake"

"What's up?" He adds

"Ugh it's my mum, trying to set me up with Tyler!"

"Wait what? Again? She doesn't give up?"

"I know! She wants me to go with him to that country club party tonight."

JJ's silent for a few moments.

"JJ?"

"Are you gunna go?"

"no! no way, I don't want him to think I'm actually interested in him, it's not fair"

"Oh, ok.... Is.....is that the... only reason?"

Kiara smiles

"What? You mean the fact that there's another boy that I really like?" She teases

"Maybe" he smirks

"JJ, I wouldn't want to go with anyone else" she says softly

"Unless it was you" she adds

He can't actually believe he's hearing this. She, Kiara Carrera would prefer to be with him, JJ Maybank over a guy like Tyler. He was pretty pleased with himself.

"Well I guess I'm coming then"
