" is everything ok sweetie?" Anna called from the table.
Kiara turned back away from the window and to them.
"Yeah.... Fine, everything's fine" she sighed returning to her seat.
" so..." Tyler began and Kiara felt her eyes rolled aggressively into the back of her head.
"Your mum tells me you surf..."

"We'll that was painful" Kiara remarked as her mum closed the door after Tyler finally left.
"Honey, let's not be impolite" Anna gave her a stern look.
"Whatever" she sighed "I'm going to bed"
"Goodnight" Mike said as she headed for the stairs
"Goodnight"
She locked her door as soon as she got into her room. Quickly changing into some more comfortable clothes, a pair of leggings, a hoodie and her trainers. She then turned on some music quietly as a decoy before opening her window and scaling the gutter just the same as she's done countless times before.

*knock knock
Kiara waited anxiously on the other side of the door until John B opened it after a minute, beer in his hand.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" He remarked
"Aw come on not you too, JJ's already mad at me"
"Oh I wonder why?" He replied sarcastically before stepping aside and gesturing for her to come in.
She reluctantly steps in and walks down the corridor to JJ's room. She pauses for a second taking a deep breath before knocking and then eventually just opening the door when she got no answer.
"Hey" she said softly
"Hey" JJ relies staring back at her.
"Where's your boyfriend"
"Look it's not what you think. Okay, it's nothing"
"Oh sorry I'm upset you blew me of to hang out with fucking Tyler or all people!"
" what have you got against Tyler?" She asks confused.
"nothing.... It doesn't matter."
She brushes it of. " I'm sorry Ik, I wanted to be here honestly, it's just... my mum.... She made me stay, She thought she was doing something nice, and she can be so....I...I just.... I couldn't get out of it"
"I'm just sor..."
JJ raised a finger to lips shushing her mid sentence.
"no, please don't ever apologise for your parents, ok? I sure as hell don't"
"So, your not mad"
"no"
He pulled her in for a hug and kissed the top of her head.
"She thought she was making it up to me, after she... well you know" she whispered into his chest.
"It's like she just wants us all to play happy families, but it's all just so, so..." she pauses
"So fake" she finishes after a deep breath.
*After an hours or so
"Look I can't stay" she said sitting up
"I snuck out, so I have to get back. But I'll see you tomorrow..... I promise" she says leaning in for a kiss.
