some info:
this is directly after nancy got like snatched by vecna at the end of vol 1. robin ends up saving her with music (after going through her tapes remember that) and now they're all in eddie's trailer discussing what to do next whilst nancy is curled up, very upset over what had just happened to her.______________
Nancy sat, stuck in her own mind after the incident she hadn't expected to happen to her whatsoever. She was so grateful that Robin had looked through her music a couple days ago, Nancy couldn't fathom where she'd be right now if Robin didn't. Robin truly cared for Nance, and Nancy appreciated it, she appreciated it very much.
The others were across the small trailer, discussing what to do as well as leaving Nancy to have some time alone after what she had went through. Well, all the others except one who had slowly approached Nancy, a soft and very worried tone in her voice. So, so shaky and honestly almost breakable. "N-Nancy?? Are- Can- We-" Robin struggled to find her words, you could clearly tell she was distressed.
Nancy's gaze changed from the floor to the panicked Robin before her. She smiled slightly, nodding. Robin smiled back, sitting beside Nancy, turning to face her as Nancy did the same. "Thank you, Robin. Thank you so much." Nancy spoke, tearing up. "I-"
"You don't have to say anything else, just relax." Robin interrupted, taking her jacket off and handing it to Nancy. Nancy gave a confused look in reply, causing Robin to giggle. "Take it, you look cold.""How did you know that??" Nancy asked, taking Robins jacket and slipping it over her shoulders, almost melting into the scent. Nancy didn't really know why it comforted her so much, but it did. She had so much on her mind between Jonathan and obvious other things that she never really did take the time to just calm down. "You were shivering." Robin replied in almost a whisper.
Nancy smiled, leaning forward, resting her head on Robins shoulder, causing the girl to blush. "Nance?" Robin asked, looking down slightly at the content state of the fragile girl under her. Robin smiled, shifting her position to make Nancy much more comfortable, Nancy now practically in Robins arms. Nance smiled, wrapping her arms around Robin.
Robin rubbed small circles on Nancy's back for a moment before pulling her back to make eye contact with her, her shakiness from previously coming back. "I'm- I'm so grateful that you're okay Nance. I- these past few days have felt- weird. And honestly.. They've made me question some things about myself."
Nancy raised her eyebrow. "I- Robin I don't understand what you're trying to-"
"I'm a lesbian, Nance. I like girls. And oh my God, I'm starting to like one that i know doesn't like me back and I'm so scared because I thought I liked someone else but this new girl I've started to like.. she's- she's perfect. Nancy, she's perfect and I just- I thought I was going to lose her before I could even have a chance with her even though she's like WAY out of my league and-"
"Is it me?" Nancy asked, maintaining eye contact with Robin.Robins face turned red as she realized her rambling had given it away. She sighed, following the previous action of Nancy and digging her head in the other girl's shoulder. Robin nodded into Nancy's shoulder, causing Nancy to blush. "I know you don't like me back I mean shit you have a boyfriend and I didn't mean to tell you but our friendship was fun whilst it lasted and-" Nancy giggled "God, can you please stop talking, you're gonna run out of words." She teased, putting her hand up into Robins hair and scrunching it a little bit.
"A-Actually..." Nancy started, taking a breath. Here goes nothing. "Robin, I won't lie, you pissed me off at first. Really. You did." Nancy said, still holding Robin. Robin squinted her eyes shut in reaction.
shit.
"But..." Nancy started, "Then we went to the library together. And you kept looking at me with those- those eyes and I don't know, Robin, something about them just- pulled me in y'know?? A-And then we went to the asylum and you said that absolutely ridiculous speech that I thought was annoying but- it actually made me- Robin I-" Nancy bit her lip. "This is all so new to me... I was always taught that this was wrong and... and- then there's Jonathan..But for some reason I can't stop thinking about it. About you. I mean shit you payed enough attention to me you even learned my favorite song. And you saved me, Robin."
Nancy leaned her head onto Robins, smiling like a idiot. "So I guess what I'm trying to say is- I like you too. Even though we're having such a bad situation right now- I- I cant help it. You got me in your grasp, Buckley."
Robins face instantly lit up at the words. Was Nancy being serious?? This couldn't be happening. Robin backed away from Nancy's shoulder, finding herself only inches from Nancy's face. She looked up to Nancy, giving her those eyes Nancy had gone absolutely crazy over. Nancy brought her hand to Robin's chin, pulling her closer, lips now only centimeters apart. "A-Are you sure?" Robin asked, voice shaking.
"Very." Nancy said, smiling brightly. She leaned forward, her lips meeting Robin's with such passion. Robin couldn't help but smile into their kiss as she brought her hand up to cup Nancy's face. Nancy smiled as well, pulling apart from Robins lips to get air. She pushed her forehead to Robins, sending butterflies through the both of their stomachs.
"Thank you for saving me, Robin." Nancy said once more, intertwining her fingers with Robins. "No problem." Robin muttered, lifting her head to kiss Nancy's forehead. "I swear I'm not going to let anything happen to you, Nance. I swear on my life." Nancy smiled, diving into Robin. Robin let out a calm sigh, feeling warm and happy inside as she wrapped her arms around Nancy, holding her. The two had no idea what was ahead of them from here. But whatever it would be, they'd be in it together.
