different universe i guess from the first two one shots - this time the two started dating at the end of s4, when they survived the attack on Vecna.(quite literally). After they started dating though, as much as they wanted to they couldn't will themselves to kiss until now.

______

Nancy woke up suddenly, biting her lip to avoid making a sound of panic from the nightmare she had just awoken from. These nightmares were nothing new for Nancy, especially after the battle with Vecna. However, they were something she had been hiding from her girlfriend, Robin, for a very long time now. She sighed. "Just a dream, Nance." Nancy whispered to herself before she felt Robin's hand reaching to her waist and pulling her back down from the position she had just sat herself up in.

Nancy smiled at the feeling of Robin against her, melting into the touch. Robin always made Nancy feel so safe, more than any of Nancy's exes ever could. "You okay??" Robin asked with a very sleepy tone, bringing Nancy even closer to her, spooning her.

Nancy nods, mind blank and hardly thinking correctly from all of the physical affection. "Y-Yes.. Just had a nightmare I guess."
"You've been having those a lot then, you do this like every night almost." Nancy's face grew slightly suspicious at Robins comment. "You've known?? I'm sorry I- I was trying not to wake you. By now you'd surely think I'd sleep through the nightmare since it happens so much. Literally, it's the same exact reoccurring nightmare."

Robin sits up, looking over towards the nightstand. Nancy follows the action as she watches Robin turn the lamp on. When Robin turns, she sees a very sleepy and somewhat scared Nancy. Just like she had thought. Nancy was one to bottle her emotions, especially the ones that weakened her. The nightmare was scaring Nancy, and Robin felt awful.

Robin crawled back into her former position, right next to her girlfriend. She opened her arms as Nancy fell right into them. "It's okay, Nance. It's not real I promise. W-What was the nightmare even about? If you don't mind me asking. B-But if you're uncomfortable or anything I like completely understand and you don't have to say anything i'll just hold you the whole night sound good? I should've never asked actually- that was really rude of me.. I'm sorry."

Robin grew a confused expression as she looked down to see Nancy giggling in her arms. "W-What's so funny?"
Nancy pulled herself up, still in Robins arms just face to face with her. Inches from her face. "The fact you never stop talking." Nancy said in a tease, pushing back to get a good distance between the two of them. "Anyways, the dream- or- uh- nightmare- always starts out very bittersweet. Everyone's together and happy, me and you especially. But then- everything falls from around me at some point and I'm in the upside down, alone. Vecna- he's there..  He's there too. I was at the house.. That- old abandoned house.. But it was different from when we were there. There was this- red aura to the place. I saw everyone he killed, pinned up against myriads of different things. Just laying there limp. And then you... And everyone else along with them. I- It was so- that can't possibly-"

Nancy was cut off by the sudden first time feeling of Robins lips laced with hers. Nancy's eyes widened for a second as she quickly kissed back. Robin had been listening to Nancy, and obviously had grown extremely worried, but had no other way to truly comfort her other than to try something else. Something that the two of them had always been too scared to make the move for.

The two girls pulled apart from each other, making eye contact. Robin felt her face heat, beginning to speak. "It's 3 in the damn morning I am so sorry you probably weren't ready I never even thought I'd be the first one to do that I had really only ever assumed it'd be you oh my gosh- I mean well you sounded so scared and it broke me because you're so- strong and that's not like you and-"

Nancy smiled, rolling her eyes as she cut Robin off with a very sweet kiss that was so full of love towards the girl. Robin practically melted into the kiss as she felt a warm feeling inside, stronger than she had ever felt before. Nancy's hand slid down Robins chest to her thigh, lightly resting on it.

Eventually, the two had to pull away for some air, but even when they had caught their breath, they were still stamped speechless. Nancy was the first one to break the silence as she crawled on top of Robin, straddling her. Nancy had no dirty intention, so, she simply dug her head into Robins neck.

This was enough to send Robin into a very flustered state. She beamed as she leaned onto Nancy, wrapping her arms around her waist. "I could honestly stay like this forever." Nancy admitted, a very sleepy voice painted into her tone. Robin nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry you've been having really bad dreams.. But I'm willing to help you in anyway, ok? I promise that nothing will happen to you, or me, or us. Ever."

Nancy smiled, processing her girlfriends words. "Thank you, Ro.. I'd love for things to stay this way forever. And uh- I'd hate to ruin the moment but I'm so sleepy- can we try to go back to bed, baby?" Nancy asked, clearly about to fall dead asleep in her girlfriends arms. Robin giggled "Yea, sure!" The two broke apart as Robin turned off the lamp and the two got back into their spooning position. Nancy turned, facing Robin. Even though it was dark, the two could see each other clearly. Nancy smiled as she leaned forward, kissing Robin goodnight. "That kiss was amazing, by the way."

Robin blushed "T-Thank you-!" Nancy giggled, slipping herself downward and nuzzling under Robins chin. Robin smiled, closing her eyes to sleep with her girlfriend right in her arms, the way she hoped to have her every single night now and for forever.
