Robin paced around Nancy's room nervously as she heard Jason questioning Nancy from downstairs. Fuckfuckfuckfuck. Robin ran her fingers through her hair anxiously. If Jason found her she was so certain that she would be killed. See, earlier that day Jason had exposed, at a pep rally, that Robin was lesbian. Why? Because he was cruel. He was very fucking cruel. And now half of Hawkins hated Robin or was looking to beat her up. Robin was petrified.

Of course, Nancy happily allowed Robin to seek refuge at her house. I mean.. cmon. Who would expect Robin Buckley to be hanging out with Nancy Wheeler? Although was quite ironic seeming they were best friends with burning crushes for eachother. They just did a good job on masking their friendship publicly.

Robin was thankful she agreed to stay with Nancy, Jason obviously already went scouting for her at her own house. Imagine how awful it would have been if he found her. Thank you Nancy Wheeler. Thank you for convincing me to come here. Robin thought to herself as she slid down and sat criss crossed on the floor.

flashback:
hawkins high, right after the pep rally incident in the girls bathroom.

Nancy sped through the halls, stopping once she heard Steve trying to bait Robin out of the bathroom. She quickly ran over to him. "Thank goodness I found you!! Is she okay? God please tell me she's okay...." Steve shrugs. "She won't come out of the bathroom, and I'm obviously not walking into the ladies restroom abruptly."

Nancy nods, walking into the bathroom, trying to remain silent. She heard muffled and quiet sobs from one of the stalls and instantly slid herself under.

"G-Go Away!" Robin warned, her head still dug into her knees. Nancy smiled softly, her gaze filled with sympathy. She bent down, placing her hand gently over Robin's, causing Rob to flinch and look up. Her expression softened at the sight of Nancy, but, for some reason, more tears started to fall down Robin's freckled face as she shook her head. "I never wanted you to find out this way."

Nancy sat downwards on her knees and sighed, making eye contact with Robin. "It's alright, honey. I swear. I love you and support you no matter what." Robin smiled through her tears, leaning limply into the arms of the shorter girl. "I'm so scared Nancy..."

"There is nothing to be afraid of. We will get through this together." Nancy says, wrapping her arms around Robin. "How about you go home with me, yeah?" Robin snuggled into Nancy's neck. "No.. I'll be fine."

"No offense, but, no. You won't be. Jason is after you. This isn't a normal walk in the park this is.. This is walking on the freeway." Robin bit her lip, contemplating. Nancy knows now. Won't that make things awkward? Especially considering her feelings for Nancy. But.. She could also get beaten if she doesn't take Nancy's offer..."But I won't have clothes and who knows how long I'll have to stay with you."

"We'll have Steve fetch them."
"I-I'll be a burden I- I don't-"

Nancy lightly pulled back, looking down at Robin. The two made eye contact, causing their stomachs to swoon. "You will never. never. Be a burden to me in this life, no matter what. I... I actually kinda want you to stay.. with me." Nancy says, smiling lightly with a small red tent airbrushed on her face.

Robin's eyebrows raised as she saw Nancy's blush. W-Was she- No... Don't be silly. Then, came the processing of Nancy's words. "W-Wait.. You do?! But why? I'm literally probably the most annoying thing in your life and now the most disgusting too now that you know that I-"

"Why would I be disgusted by something I am as well?" Nancy asks, breaking eye contact after her sentence. "W- B- Wha-P-Pardon?!-" Robin starts, getting shut down by Nancy shortly after. "Are you staying with me or not?" The shorter asks, clearing her throat. "Y-Yeah.. Sure."
