"Are we there yet?! My feet hurt and bugs are trying to murder me." Robin dramatically asks, following behind her girlfriend as they dashed through the woods. "We're almost there, baby, just be patient." Nancy says in a calm tone as she jumps down from a fallen tree log and back down to the leafy spotted ground.

"Yeah, ye- Ah!" Robin yelps as she suddenly trips, being caught in Nancy's arms. "Careful!! You could've gotten hurt." Nancy says, kissing Robin's cheek and intertwining their fingers before the two proceed going through the woods.

Although Robin wouldn't admit it, she loved the walk through the woods with Nancy. The nature was beautiful. Of course, not as beautiful as Nancy. Robin couldn't stop staring at her. She had so many things she wanted to say. She was in a beautiful flowery white dress, her hair messily sitting. Her perm had slightly loosened after a couple months so now it was mainly just wave. Nancy was going to reperm it (for the fourth time in the past two years of their relationship) but Robin convinced her to let it sit, knowing it could possibly fry. Either or, it was something so angelic to Robin, how in the world was she so lucky? Her girlfriend was a masterpiece!

Once Robin was done with one of her daily daydream about Nancy sessions, she began to talk nonstop once again. "So, you're sure this place is safe?? Especially to blindly wander at I mean there could be a murderer anywhere which-"
"Baby, Steve and Eddie went on a date here literally last week. We will be okay." Nancy reassures as she stops walking, seeing the lake they were walking to. "We made it!!" She then turns to Robin, wrapping her arms around her neck. "Excited?"

Robin gives an unsure expression but still manages to nod. "A little nervous about it but that's probably because of all the shit that has happened to us." Nancy nods slowly, giving her girlfriend one of the most comforting gazes she could give. Robin's hands lightly rose and sat on Nancy's waist as she leaned forwards slowly, kissing her. Nancy melted into the kiss, god did she love when Robin made moves. It always felt so magical, so right. So perfect.

Once the two pulled away, they proceeded their walk to the lakeside. The sun was just beginning to set and the sky was a soft pink. This place felt so incredible, the air had a different flow than the rest of Hawkins. A good flow. Suddenly, all Robin's past fears had went away as she found herself running towards the water, splashing in it a little with her feet. "Nancy- Nance!! Nancyyyy!!!" Robin called out to her girlfriend like an excited little puppy. Nancy was unpacking a few things but of course took the time to look at her beloved Robin as she played like a toddler.

"You're getting your shoes all wet." Nancy says with a laugh, shaking her head. "I wish that I could swim. I've always loved water but hated the thought of dying in it due to my own stupidity." Robin says honestly as she sat down on the shore. Once Nance is sure Robin isn't looking, she throws a small, maroon, and very fuzzy box into her dress pocket. She takes a deep breath to herself as she walks up to her girlfriend, sitting beside her.

The two sat in comfortable silence for a very long time until, of course, Robin finally spoke. "Okay this is going to sound weird especially because I'm your girlfriend and all but I've been wanting to compliment you ALL day and have been way too scared. In our whole like two years of dating I have never been scared to but for some reason you just look like a fucking angel and I cant keep my mind off you. You're too perfect."

Nancy smiles, looking at Robin with adoration. Angel. She liked that name."Well, thank you my love. And uh.. I heard you on the phone with Eddie earlier when you said you were going to see if I remembered today makes our two year anniversary and that you weren't going to bring it up. Well, I did in fact remember and I have something for you."

Robin's eyes widen "Y-You- You do?!" Nancy rolls her eyes with a smile. "Well, yes! You got me this last year did you not?" She asks, looking at the glimmer her necklace was reflecting. Robin smiles down at the small silver necklace with the letter N covered in gorgeous diamond. "Yes... Yes, I did."

"Mhm, you did. Now, my gift is a little different and before I show it to you, I do have something I need to say first... Okay?" Robin nods, biting her lip to ensure she wouldn't throw one of her rambles out and interrupt Nancy. "If you would have asked me when we started dating if I thought we would be together this long I would have laughed in your face. But... In the time we have been together... You've shown me more love than anyone I could ever imagine. The way you touch me, the way you hold me, the way you never shut up, I fell in love with that. I fell in love with you. And you made me realize that you are someone I never want to be apart from. Ever. I know we are both not ready to be engaged, it's way too early in life. So, for right now...."

Nancy starts pulling the small box out of her pocket and opens it. "Let's make a promise." Robin beams, admiring the ring. She then feels tears tease her eyes as she lets out a small whimper. "Baby-" She says, giving Nancy puppy eyes and also a slight look of utter disbelief. Before Nancy could say anything, Robin had thrown herself into Nancy's arms. "I love you, I love you so fucking much." Robin whispers, crying into Nancy.

"Give me your hand." Nancy commands softly as she watches Robin scoot back and hold her hand out. Nancy gently glides the ring up Robin's finger, smiling at how it glimmered.  "I love you too, Rob." Nancy says warmly, leaning forward and kissing Robin sweetly. Robin was so stunned Nancy had learned her boundaries so well without even asking. This moment was beautiful for both of them, and honestly, it was something they couldn't really explain. All they knew is they were made for each other. They saved each other.
