Deeks P.O.V.
I looked at my partners seemingly lifeless body. I looked down at our intwined fingers. I lightly kissed her forehead. She had been like this for the past four hours.
At first she had seemed fine. But then out of nowhere she fainted. Apparently her brain had started swelling, because of all of the kicks and blows.
I looked at her chest. The slow and repeated motion of her chest's rise and fall. She seemed paler than possible. And the usual glow she always wore was gone. All of my favorite parts of her were gone. A part of me was gone.
"I'm sorry" I said to my friend lying on the white sheets. But I still knew that she couldn't hear me. I placed my head on her chest. I listened to her steady heartbeat. My lovely heartbeat. The most precious thing in my entire life.
"Come on Fern, please open those lovely mismatched eyes of yours." I squeezed her hand. "I need you, hon-bun". I took a deep breath. "Please give me a last lesson Wikipedia." I closed my ocean blue eyes. "Kensi, just please wake up, and hit me one last time." I sighed as a single tear rolled down my cheek. "Just one last time..."
