Kensi's P.O.V.Step for step I slowly, but determined, made my way towards my destination.
The daisies fluttered and danced around the dry soil. Lightly they swayed in the wind, almost seeming like they were waving at me. Like I wasn't going to stay here, and I was leaving to another place.
It gave a weird feeling somewhere deep inside of me. Something heavy was placed inside of me, and was pulling me down, to a place I didn't want to go.
I shook of the thought. But the feeling was still present. The cream white dress I was wearing had cuts where the worn out fabric had given up on sticking together.
I placed my eyes upon the horizon. It almost seemed like I wasn't moving. As if I was stuck. Caught, walking in circles.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Fresh air filled my lungs. I smiled. I couldn't quite describe the feeling, it was more clean and fresh than ever.
Satisfied I opened my mismatched brown eyes, and calmed myself.
Of course I could move forward. I just needed the strength and will to do it.
Once again I dropped my eyelids and focused. It felt like I was opening a new side of myself. One that had remained untouched until now.
Even though my eyes were closed, I could see everything. I could sense it. The field I was walking on a few seconds ago and a big tree. It was ablaze with the orange, yellow and brown leaves falling to the ground. And even further out I saw the gas station. It stood tall a few 100 yards away. It looked very misplaced with the beautiful nature surrounding it.But then it all started spinning when I saw him. Deeks. My one and only.
It was almost like a hurricane took its arms and reached out for me. I was helpless. It took me up like I was nothing but a feather in a gust of wind.Everything turned up and down. But then again it didn't. Here where I was floating around there was no up and down. Only emptiness.
A thick and threatening fog surrounded me. Almost engulfing me.
I reached out my hand, but there was nothing but cold air.
The hot sun, the tree and all the other things were gone.
There I was in the nothingness, with a belly on size of Vermont."Down." I whispered to myself, hoping maybe it would help.
"Down!" I almost said a little louder."DOWN!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, desperate to feel the ground beneath my feet. Wanting to feel his warm embrace.
And as I wished, I hit the ground. Hard. All air got knocked out of my lungs. I couldn't think clear. It felt like the air was too hot and thick to breathe in. I panicked. For once I was scared. Bad ass Blye was scared. I wanted to go home. I didn't understand any of this. I was terrified.
-Help. Please help. Anyone help! Please! Deeks!-Deeks's P.O.V.
As I sat in my old mustang, I got a weird feeling. I couldn't describe it. I had never felt anything like it. Like a pit in my my stomach.
I closed my eyes to receive peace. But it didn't work. Every time I shut my eyes Kensi popped up. Ever since I left her, she had been in the back of my head.
I looked out at my beautiful surroundings. All the windows were rolled down. I reached out my hand, even though I weren't driving I could feel the soft wind on my hand. A little bird landed on my hand. It was a hummingbird. It's feathers almost lit up. They had a weird silver glow to them. I wondered why the little creature's wings were grey and not blue and green.
Before I could think another thought, it flew away, and continued it's quest to where ever it was going. When the sun kissed the horizon I decided to go to sleep early. I put down the back seat and got my old blanket. I fell asleep as soon as my tired head hit the pillow.
"Help. Please help. Anyone help! Please!" Kensi silky soft voice ran through my head. I opened my fake brown eyes to look for her. I swear I heard her.
"Deeks!" I heard her panicked voice.
"Kensi?! Where are you?" I yelled long her warm brown eyes, her soft wavy dark brown hair, her caring voice and her soft lips. I wanted her. But she probably didn't want me.I exited my red car to find follow Kensi's voice. "Fern!" I called but no answer came.
The bright stars were easily visible so far away from the city. All of them winked kindly at me. They reminded me of L.A. where I used to live. Despite all of the different places I had lived, you could always see the stars. Like they were following me.
"Kens, where are you?" I stopped for a moment and wondered - maybe I was crazy. Maybe I missed her so much that my mind just made it up.
As I was giving up, the eerie silence by her scream.
"KENSI?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, as I looked into the thick darkness. It seemed like it went on forever if you would walk into it.
I quickly went to my car and grabbed a flashlight. It's round warm light guided me. After 5 minutes of searching desperately for my partner, I spotted a seemingly lifeless body. As soon as I identified her as Kensi, I sat down beside her and moved her into my lap. "Kensi?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
"Deeks?" She whispered with glistening tears covering her mismatched eyes.
"Yes, princess I'm here. Don't worry. I'm so sorry." I apologized. She responded with a sigh.
"Can you walk for me?" I asked concerned.
She gave a little nod. I placed my arms under her arms to help her get up. Carefully I helped my trembling (ex)girlfriend up.
Now I noticed how big her belly was.
"Wow Kens, you are gigantic!" I exclaimed without thinking. After those words escape my mouth I immediately regretted it.
She gave me the most annoyed look I've ever seen. I felt like I was a balloon that someone put a needle in. Slowly all air ran out of me.
"I... I..." I stammered.
"No! You don't get to insult me after what you've done! You left me! While I was pregnant! I was alone and worried sick about you!" She yelled frustrated.
She started walking away and almost fell, if it hadn't been for me, who saved her seconds before she hit the ground.
"Thanks." She said bitterly as wiggled out of my grip.
"Hey? Where are you going?" I asked as i caught up with her.
"Kens? How did you even get here?" I asked changing the subject.
"I have no idea." She stated dryly.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"I Mean that I have no idea what happened. Suddenly I just woke up here. And then it seemed like I was walking in circles, and then I was inside this weird cold fog, and then i called for you and dropped from the sky..." Kensi put forth.
I just stared amazed at her, unable to speak.
"No Kensi, I'm serious, what happened?" I replied.
"I'm telling the truth Deeks! That's what happened!" Kensi claimed tears forming in her eyes again.
"It must be the hormones..." I suggested.
"Deeks... Please... You have to believe me..." She sobbed.
"Kensi did any of your parents have psychological problems?" I asked, implying that she was mentally ill.
"Please, Deeks don't you dare think that for a second. I can't..." She started, but she was cut off my a groan of pain. She immediately put her hand protectively on her stomach.
"What's wrong?" I asked concerned, as I went to her side to support her and keep her from falling.
"It hurts!" She said as her face formed a grimace of pain.
"You're... You're not going into labor, are you?" Deeks popped the question nervously.
"I think my water just broke!" The pregnant woman put forth. "Where's the nearest hospital?". She put her hand on the car.
"Two and a half hours away from here." He replied. And as he feared, Kensi's filled with disappointment and sadness.
"But... But... Wha- what... I'm can't... Not here..." she sobbed. "What if they don't make it?"
"Don't worry kens, our kids will be fine..." He tried to calm her.
"Pardon me? Our kids? Martin Andrew Deeks, you decided to leave this life, to leave me and the kids. You have completely lost your part in this!"
Kensi groaned as another contraction hit her. "Let's get you in the car..."
Kensi obeyed and got in the back seat of the car.
"What are we going to do?" Kensi asked while trying to overcome the pain.
"I don't know." Deeks admitted.
