Just a few minutes after the other four left for the blood bank, Mark only became more and more uncomfortable from where he laid on the couch. He grabbed one of the nearby pillows and covered his face with it, but that didn't seem to have the effect he wanted it to have on him. It became equally concerning when they noticed how Mark was desperately trying to avoid looking at Jeno and Jaemin.

"Hey hyung. Are you alright?"

Jaemin asked out of concern, only getting a small nod as a response.

To check on how he was looking, Jaehyun walked over to him and carefully lifted up the pillow to where only he could see the older's face. Just as Jaehyun suspected, Mark's eyes had become even more red and he was trying to avoid looking at Jeno and Jaemin to keep himself in control. They soon noticed that Donghyuck was waking up, and Jaehyun rushed over to block his view of the two with a pillow as well.

"I get it. The two of us being here is only making your hunger worse. And with the way things are looking, the others might not be back fast enough to help you two. Maybe it would be best for the both of you if-"

"Don't... Don't say it"

Mark interrupted Jeno before he could finish his sentence.

"Why not? There's two of you and two of us. You could-"

"No, Jeno! This isn't up for debate! We're not going to take any blood from any of you! None of you deserve that.. If we do that to our own friends, won't that just make us no better than parasites..?"

"Taeyong-hyung fed from me before when I first met him. He wasn't a parasite because he didn't just take from me. He gave me another chance at life when my own kind nearly took it away. If you and Donghyuck do this, neither of you will be parasites either"

Jaehyun tried giving his input, but that only seemed to make Mark angry to the point where he removed the pillow from his face and got up to approach him.

"Don't you dare try to give your opinion on this. You don't have a damn clue what you're talking about. No matter how hard I try to understand you or your logic, I just can't. You have no problem being like us, when this isn't even close to being something to be looked at fondly. This is nothing but a curse, and yet you have no problem leaving behind how great of an existence you had. I wouldn't wish this on anyone else, not even on my worst enemy. I hate having to take blood from others just to survive. I hate myself..."
