Jaehyun finally awoke back in his bed after the couple days that Doyoung gave him to rest. He was mostly alarmed to find himself back home with his friends, instead of in the hunter base being tortured further. He remembered all of the pain he was subjected to and how that all suddenly changed to visions of pure joy with his friends.

He was greeted by all of his friends immediately after waking up, and even got to meet Kun and his guild and learn what they did to make their rescue mission a success. Learning about this ultimately made Jaehyun consider them new friends of his. Ten was especially happy to see that Jaehyun was still alive, especially since he couldn't be of much use regarding the rescue and eliminating the hunters. But nonetheless, Jaehyun was grateful for each and every one of his friends for being there for him.

Jaehyun thanked his new hunter friends for their service by taking them out to the same restaurant he ate at with Johnny and Taeyong, treating them to a nice well-deserved meal. Later on without telling them why, he requested Mark to transport all of them that were vampires to their secluded field just a couple days after he woke up. Mark was confused, but he complied once everyone was together. Once they were there, Jaehyun began to explain why he wanted to travel there with them.

"I wanted to be somewhere tranquil with you guys where I could say this. I'm sorry that I put myself in harms way and made you all worry.. I just wanted to give you all a shot at peace, even if it ended up being a broken promise.."

"Don't worry Jaehyun, we completely understand why you made the choice you did. Even without knowing what would truly happen once you turned yourself over, you still did it to keep us safe. We're all very proud of you for that, as well as thankful"
