Jaehyun finally awoke in his bed from a headache, and took a moment to let his eyes adjust to the lights in the room before looking over at his clock to check the time.

"Three in the afternoon..? I guess I overdid it a bit last night.. My head is killing me..."

He sat up a bit before trying to get up, but he quickly realized that there was someone sleeping not only at the foot of his bed but also right next to him.

It took a moment for him to realize that the person sleeping at the foot of his bed was Jisung, but he became alarmed when he realized that the person sleeping next to him was Taeyong, clinging onto him as he laid peacefully beside him. Jaehyun felt his face heat up a bit from seeing how comfortable Taeyong seemed with him, but he decided to refocus his attention to his younger friend as he saw him stir in his sleep.

"Hey. Jisung. Are you feeling alright?"

After hearing his voice, Jisung woke and stretched a bit before actually realizing that Jaehyun was finally awake.

"You're finally awake hyung~. I was starting to worry about you, especially after what the others said happened a couple nights ago..."

"A couple nights?? I was asleep for two days???"

"Mhm.. Johnny-hyung said it was because of how much energy and blood you used to save everyone, including me and my friends.. I wanted to thank you hyung, for everything you did. Mark-hyung mentioned that you borrowed one of his abilities to transport the bodies of those hunters so my friends and I would have enough blood to completely transition. Without you, we probably would've died or would've had to kill an innocent person.."

"It was no trouble at all Jisung. I'm sorry that we had to resort to turning you and the others though..."

"Don't worry, we're not angry about that. In my opinion, this new life might not be so bad since we're not alone in this"

"I can understand that. There's also the chance that you guys will develop runes and abilities as well, so you'll have that to look forward to. And you'll get one of these rings to protect you from the sun too"

Jaehyun explained with a small smile, showing off his ring to the younger.

"Oh yeah, Mark-hyung and Donghyuck-hyung mentioned these before. I used to wonder how none of you died from being in the sun.. But do you really think we'll get powers and runes like you did?"

"I'm positive you will. Taeyong-hyung gave me his blood and I developed them with time. The same should be said for you guys too since we gave each of you our blood. You'll all have a better chance of surviving this way with more means to defend yourself"

"Is that why Ten-hyung didn't give us his blood? You guys intentionally wanted to give us a better chance of surviving down the line instead of just saving us...?"

"That's right. We all knew just how much you guys mean to Mark and Donghyuck. This was our way of ensuring that you guys will get to stay together"

Instead of saying anything, Jisung got up from the bed and walked over to personally hug Jaehyun to thank him once again.

"I'm very glad you're all still alive Jisung"

"I am too hyung.. Oh! I forgot to mention this! Johnny-hyung brought take-out for everyone not too long ago. I could bring you some if you want. Taeyong-hyung and I were waiting for you to wake up before we got some"

"You don't have to. I'll be down with hyung in a minute. You should really go eat though, alright? That way, you can break the good news to everyone"

"I can do that~. Don't take too long hyung"

"We won't, I promise"

Jaehyun smiled as Jisung cheerfully left the room, and he gently shook Taeyong to wake him up after he left.

"Wake up hyung. We can go eat the take-out that Johnny-hyung brought for everyone now"

Jaehyun whispered, noticing how a smile soon crept onto the older's face.

"You're really feeling better Jaehyun~?"

"I am. But I was really worried about all of you. I thought we were too late to save you guys..."

Once Taeyong opened his eyes and saw the worried and sorrowful look on his friend's face, he immediately sat up to show him that he was fine.

"We're all fine Jaehyun, really! The bullets and the wounds I received from them are gone, see? The same goes for everyone else. We're all fine Jaehyun, and you made that possible. But...I feel bad for putting so much pressure on you to come after us. I could've gotten you killed..."

"No! You put your trust in me, because you believed that I was special, even when I never believe it myself. I was only able to save everyone because you put your faith in me, and I didn't want to let any of you down..."

Jaehyun quickly held the older's hands and looked him directly in the eyes to make him see that it wasn't his fault.

But after realizing how close they were in their tender moment, they both ended up unlocking their hands and moving a small distance away from each other as their faces began to heat up. They stayed silent for a moment before Jaehyun had remembered that neither one of them had eaten yet.

"S-So..hyung. Before we go downstairs to eat, there's something I wanted to ask you about everyone..."

"O-Oh, sure. What's on your mind?"

Taeyong asked as he quickly put his shirt back on.

"Well...how did you and the others meet and end up living together?"

"That's right! We never told you those stories! Actually, Johnny-hyung is the reason we're all together, and the reason we're all alive today. Mark and Donghyuck were the first to be found by him, and like the rest of us, they were left to fend for themselves but couldn't survive on their own. And back then, we were just regular vampires. Johnny-hyung was the first and only mystic vampire, and he was the main one that passed it down to the rest of us"
