Johnny had left Minhyung and Donghyuck at the palace while he went out to get some groceries and such for the three of them. Even though he would get some side looks from other customers and sometimes even the store's workers, he still enjoyed the concept of shopping and paying for things. After he payed the store's cashier with the proper amount and even left a tip, he cheerfully walked out of the building and took his time making his way back to his home portal.

But as he walked through his usual shortcut he takes from the grocery store, he heard the sounds of someone silently crying nearby, that seemed to be slowly getting closer to him. He soon crossed paths with a fairly skinny guy that seemed to be slowly withering away as he wondered aimlessly. He looked like he was in a lot of pain from the way he was clutching his stomach, his oversized clothes barely held onto his body, his hair was barely kept with strands flying off in different directions, and he looked so frail and exhausted to the point where the slightest breeze might knock him down.

"Hey, would you like some help??"

Johnny asked the latter, but before he could rest his hand on his shoulder to stop him from walking away, the other quickly turned around out of fear and swatted his hand away.

The force at which he did this nearly made him fall over from how weak he was, but Johnny acted quickly and let go of his bag to catch him with both of his arms. He made sure to use his telekinesis to gently set the bag down, in order to avoid scaring the other more by keeping it floating. Returning his attention to the guy, he noticed by his eyes and his now exposed fangs that he was actually a vampire, and by the look of things, he had been greatly abused and starved for a while. The absolute terror in his eyes was enough to make Johnny want to save him from the hell he was going through.

"It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Johnny. I'm more than willing to help you, if you'll let me"

Johnny continued to hold him with one arm, but held the other in front of his face as a form of consent for him to bite him.

Though he was very skeptical and scared of Johnny, he accepted his offer and bit down on his arm to take some of his blood. Johnny could barely feel when his fangs pierced his flesh, which made him realize just how weak he actually was. Tears began streaming down his face as well as he drank his blood, but Johnny only gave him a warm smile to keep him calm. Once he eventually let go of his arm, Johnny helped him stand upright and picked up his grocery bag before proceeding to gently hold the latter's hand.

"I can take you away from here. I don't know the full extent of how much you've suffered before, but I can help you"

The other only seemed to get more scared and immediately shook his head, but didn't let go of Johnny's hand. It was as if the thought of going somewhere alone with Johnny frightened him to his very core.

"I promise I won't do anything to you. I only want to give you a better life. I have two other friends that live with me that are just like us. You'll be safe there with us, and I'll make sure you're happy and healthy"

Johnny promised him with a smile, letting the latter see his red vampiric eyes before they changed back to their regular dark brown.

When he saw Johnny's eyes, he felt a sudden wave of relief come over him and quietly followed Johnny back to his portal, holding his hand the whole way there. Once they were transported to the vampire realm, Minhyung and Donghyuck came from upstairs to greet their guest. The frail vampire hid behind Johnny once he saw them coming closer, but he was quickly reassured that they weren't going to hurt him either.

The four of them made their way to the dining room, and Johnny carefully sat him down at the table. Minhyung and Donghyuck sat on either side of him and kindly introduced themselves, also adding how he could trust Johnny with his life and wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore. As they continued to talk to him, Johnny quickly put away their groceries before returning to them with a treat he purchased.

"I bought these rice balls from the store for us. I don't get them too often, but I figured it would be a nice treat this time around. How many would each of you like"

"I'll take one!"

"So will I~"

Donghyuck and Minhyung answered. Instead of answering with words, their new friend simply held up two fingers to indicate how many he wanted.

Johnny smiled and gave him his two rice balls first before giving Minhyung and Donghyuck theirs. He then took one for himself and they all ate them together. They both noticed how their friend started eating both of his rice balls at the same time once he got a taste of the first one. Johnny knew he was hungry, so he expected nothing less from him.

"You're free to take as many as you want if two isn't enough"

Johnny additionally surprised him by placing a blood pack on the table for him, but he became a bit alarmed once he stopped eating after he made his offer. But all three of them became alarmed once he started crying and shaking, his tears falling into his rice balls and onto the table.

The three of them quickly comforted him and Johnny gently wiped away his tears as he continued to chew the contents still in his mouth.

"You're free to do whatever you want here, alright? You can also eat and take as much blood as you want too. You're our friend now, and we're going to take care of you"

He managed to make himself stop crying a bit and silently nodded, but finally spoke up once he looked up at Johnny with his watery eyes.

"..M-My name..."

"You're ready to tell us you're name~?"

"What is it~?"

"Do tell~"

The three encouraged him, finally earning a genuine gummy smile from him because of their kindness and enthusiasm.

"...M-My name is Doyoung..~"
