The leader of the hunters entered the room that Jaehyun was held in, waking him up after they nudged him with their foot. He awoke to them crouched down in front of him from where he was curled up on the cold floor.

"You're really holding out better than I thought, especially since you've been here for two days now. One thing's for sure, you're definitely more resilient than other regulars and mystics"

"..."

"What? No more back talking? Could it be because of the blood loss, or have we finally knocked some sense into you?"

"...You're..going to die"

Jaehyun mumbled, doing his best to raise his head up to look at the latter.

"What are you muttering? You'll have to speak up Jaehyun"

The hunter frowned, roughly grabbing the younger by his hair and raising his head up himself.

"...You're going to die..one way or another"

"Hm. It seems there's still a bit of fight left in you. No matter. I'll just beat it out of you myself"

The hunter smiled before roughly slamming Jaehyun's face into the ground numerous times.

They then got up and proceeded to continuously kick Jaehyun with full force in his chest and stomach, leaving the young vampire coughing up more blood and gasping for air. When the hunter finally stopped to catch his breath, he heard the loud growls coming from Jaehyun's stomach, seeing how it caused him to whimper as he helplessly curled up more.

"Sounds like it hurts, not that I would know. I usually prefer to let my men do all the dirty work, but it's nice to see you vampires suffer this close up. But you know, it's a shame that you continue to think about your friends when they're the reason you're suffering like this. You know what? Maybe I can help you with that"

The hunter got down to his level again, but this time, tightly wrapped his hand around his neck and lifted him up off the ground.

"I could just put you out of your misery right now. Your blood is really something special you know. Just consuming a tiny bit of it has made me this strong already. Why don't I just rend your head from your shoulders right here? You'll finally be free of your pain that way. What do you say Jaehyun? That sound good to you?"
