❝ i am a raging sea trapped inside a raindrop. ❞
━━ chapter lxi.◆◇◇
As Midoriya got ready to attack, he was suddenly left carrying the tired girl in his hands when there was a rumbling nice above him that sent two giant beings crashing down through the floor. Overhaul was sent flying from the sudden gush of wind, while Midoriya jumped away to safety with the girl, holding her bridal style.
"Is that...Ryukyu?!" Midoriya exclaimed, his lips stretching up to form a smile of relief as he watched the dragon struggle with the other giant from the entrance before. "Uraraka, As-Tsu!!"
His friends were spotted, and he saw how they both didn't look very good, but then again, neither did he, blood soaking the fabric of his suit, and the girl in his arms was much worse. He eyed her, watching her see what was happening, refusing to fall asleep. Shizumi really was amazing, not only to him. He watched her fight and was left mesmerized.
She was extraordinary.
But because of him, she got injured, and he would hold onto that guilt for life. "Shizumi-san, stay with Nighteye and Eri. I'll take care of the rest!"
As much as she hated it, on the battlefield, she really would be of no help to him, so she nodded, and Midoriya jumped away from Nighteye, and placed her down against the wall.
"Nighteye!!" two voices called, and Midoriya looked to see two familiar faces running at him and her.
"You guys...Please, take care of these two! I'll go after Eri!!"
"R-Right." He jumped off, and Shizumi was left to look at Ochaco and Tsu, who gasped at her state.
"Oh my goodness, Shizumi-chan!! What happened to you?!" Ochaco asked, bending down to her knees and eyeing the girl. The girl reached for her device in her bag behind her waist, grunting a little in pain when her shoulder moved.
"I'm fine, but Nighteye, he's badly injured. We need to get him out of here. I'll be able to use my quirk in around two more minutes, so please, I'll leave him to you."
"Alright, you can count on us!" Tsu noted. "The only clear way to escape seems to be through the ceiling, but how are we to get out of here?"
Shizumi wrote once again, "One more minute. I'll heal Nighteye up after one minute, so just buy us some time, please. Overhaul might come!"
"Kero, that's fine with us," Ochaco and Tsu did as told, and Shizumi quickly thought of her next strategy after the thirty seconds had passed. First, I have to heal up myself, and then Nighteye, and I have to munch on some energy bars at the same time. God, it hurts so bad...
No... I have to back up Midoriya after that too...! Nighteye said that in the future he saw, Midoriya died. I was able to prevent that, right?!
Then, those thirty seconds finally passed, and Shizumi reached into her bag and injected herself with something, "What's that?"
A drug.
It'll charge me up and reduce my pain, although it's only temporary... She answered to herself and used her sudden charge of energy to heal her thigh up, she found herself feeling the metallic taste of blood in her throat again. She swallowed it and healed up her shoulder next, and when she did, she got up and crawled her way to Nighteye.
He was barely conscious, "S-Shizumi...go...I saw no future in which we succeeded." He held her waist weakly, and she shook her head at him.
"We all three, die, Shizumi! Midoriya, you, me! That was...the last thing...I saw...in our future."
