"alright, so you're all set!" arizona took out another lollipop for novella, as she always did after every treatment. "make sure you get a lot of rest tonight, honey. it's the best way to ease the side effects."

owen held onto novella's shoulder. "thanks, arizona. we'll see you again in a few days." she grinned.

"just doing my job. have i said that i like the new hair? anything else that's new?" she spoke, standing all cheery and happy as always.

"you've said it enough." he chuckled. "everything's pretty much the same for right now." he didn't mind, either.

"how is it with finding a new job? we've been trying to find ways to get your old one back for you, but nothing for right now. i can't believe bailey would do that." she breathed out a sigh and hugged the chart she had in her hand to her chest.

he shrugged. "haven't found anything yet. i am considering going back to trauma at another hospital or even here, if i'm allowed, but if i do that would mean i wouldn't get to spend too much time at home anymore." he explained, novella still there eating her lollipop. "i liked the hours being the chief, you know. i could get home to get novella out from school while cristina was still in the hospital working. i can't do that with trauma."

she nodded her head. "yeah, peds is the same exact thing. not so flexible, but callie and i make it work. you could always ask cristina to compromise sometimes. have her come home earlier whenever you're handling a trauma." arizona suggested. owen scratched his head as a result.

"sure, but i don't know. i can't do that to cristina." he gave a little silent laugh. "you know how much of a work-aholic she is." arizona laughed as well.

"oh, i know it well. just giving out a few suggestions. i hope you find a good job soon."

"i appreciate it. thank you." he said.

"no problem." she bent down to novella and touched her cheek with her hand. "i'll see you soon, novie. have a good day!"

"bye, arizona." novella answered back. owen smiled, she gave a wave, and they headed out the door. as they were walking by, owen bumped into someone who was trying to enter through the door.

"oh, hey! we were just gonna leave now." it was cristina. her scrub cap was on and she was just taking off the mask that was most likely from surgery. she threw it in the trashcan by the door once she backed away to give owen some room.

"hi. sorry, did i miss it? i was in surgery. i just finished and i had ross close up for me." she looked down and smiled. "hey, story, how'd it go? the lollipop looks good." novella took it out of her mouth and showed it to her mom.

"it's grape this time. i don't like grape." but she put it back in her mouth anyway. cristina looked back up to owen. she couldn't take him seriously anymore with the bald head. every time she'd stare at him for one second she had to cover up her giggles.

"okay, so i'm trying to get webber and warren to convince bailey to, you know, get you a job here. nothing's happening yet, but i'm pretty sure something will happen soon. the whole hospital's turned against her." she laughed like she found it amusing. she did.

"okay, thanks. i'm trying to look for some jobs, but it's still the same as before. i'll keep you posted if anything else happens." she nodded her head.
