"I MISS YOU."
Mabilis kong ibinaba ang cellphone ko at pinigilan ngumiti. Huminga ako ng malalim bago ko kinuha ang cellphone ko ulit.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Nothing. Nabitawan ko lang 'yung cellphone ko," sagot ko.
He smirked. "Kinilig ka 'no?" pang-aasar niya. Sinimangutan ko siya na ikinatawa niya.
"Asa! Napagod lang talaga ako ngayong araw kaya mahina siguro 'yung grip ko sa phone ko," I scoffed then I stucked my tongue out.
"Okay, ma'am. Make sure you'll get enough sleep today. You deserve a good rest. Forget your problems for a while and enjoy."
"I will," I nodded.
"I'll end this. See you when you get back," he added.
"See you," I smiled at him before I dropped the call.

I've always thought na tatanda akong dalaga. I thought I would never experience how to like someone romantically. Crush, yes, I've had a few pero puro celebrity naman. Hindi pa ako nagkakaroon ng crush na hindi celebrity, or fictional character.
Books and movies raised my standard so much that it became so hard for me to like someone so easily. Tuwing may magugustuhan ako, palagi kong iniisip kung mamimeet ba niya ang standrads na sinet ko para sa isang lalaking gusto kong mapangasawa.
Let's admit it. Since fictional characters came from a writer's mind, we know how perfect they would come out. Stories came from a person's imagination—to make it real, to share with others what they are feeling when they imagined it, and to give lessons that could change or influence a person's perspective in life.
Siyempre, nasubukan ko na rin na mag-try ng dating apps. But none of them managed to capture my heart. That's why I gave up finding one.
Love comes at the right time naman.

Bumaba ako at napansin na kami na lang nila mommy ang nandirito ngayon pati ang dalawang kasambahay namin.
"Good morning, 'my," sambit ko at hinalikan siya sa pisngi. Lumapit ako kay daddy at niyakap siya mula sa likod. "Good morning din, 'dy!"
