"ARE YOU SURE it's nothing?"

Hinawakan niya ako sa kamay ko at hinila. Pilit kong iniwasan ang tingin niya dahil natatakot ako na makikita niya mula sa mga mata ko ang nakita ko sa panaginip na 'yon.

At saka, paulit-ulit na nagbabalik sa utak ko ang pagbaril ni Loki sa mukha niya. Siguro kung nandoon siya ay may mamamatay sa kanilang dalawa.

"Yeah. I'm okay," sagot ko.

"Look at me."

I still didn't meet his eyes and instead, tried to free myself from his grasp. But he cupped my face and he made me face him. The look on his face says that he knew that something is wrong.

"I'm fine, Rush. I promise," I chuckled.

"Your smile didn't reach your eyes," seryosong sambit niya.

"Napagod lang ako siguro sa byahe," nakangiting tugon ko. "Sige. I'll just draw a panel lang."

Hindi ko na siya hinintay pa na sumagot at agad na akong lumabas sa kwarto niya. Dire-diretso akong nagtungo sa walk-in closet ko para kumuha ng damit at maligo.

While in the shower, I still kept on remembering the dream. How does it feels so real, and how can't I move my whole body as I watch everything unfold.

Tulala akong pumasok sa comic room matapos kong mag-ayos. Hindi ko na muna nilagay ang mga dinala kong damit sa walk-in closet ko dahil para akong nawalan ng gana mag-ayos pa ng mga ganoong bagay.

Ang gusto ko lang ay maiguhit ang nangyaring 'yon. Totoo man 'yon o hindi, ilalagay ko 'yon sa kwento ni Rush. It could even serve as a build up and justification for Loki's resentment towards Rush.

Sinilip ko ang oras. It's just five o'clock in the afternoon. I could finish this at nine.

I took a pencil, a piece of paper, and tidied up my drawing table. Nilock ko rin ang pinto ng comic room ko. I'm scared that Rush would suddenly check up on me in the middle of the panel.

Iniisip ko masyado siguro si Rush nitong mga nakaraang araw kaya siguro 'yon ang naging panaginip ko. Also, it is possible that all of my stress about him leaving, Jad's strange behaviour, and my relatives' attitude towards me.

I researched about it, too. Sleep paralysis daw. Ilang article na ang nabasa ko dati tungkol sa sleep paralysis and I've always been fascinated by how they described it. But experiencing it is the opposite. Akala ko mamamatay na ako.

I heaved a sigh before holding the pencil and started drawing the lines for each frame. Nang matapos ay sinimulan ko nang iguhit ang pangyayari na nakita ko sa panaginip ko.

'Loki enters the room with a gun in his hand. His eyes were livid. He wanted to kill Rush right now. He's mad. His plan on ambushing the biggest drug cartel failed miserably, and now, Rush's father knew that he is not his real son. Lorenzo found out that the woman he loved throughout his life betrayed him.

Loki did everything just so Lorenzo could trust him. But everything was still the same. He still loves and favors Rush.'

Hindi ni-request ni Rush na magbago ang ugali ng tatay niya. For him, ang importante lang sa kanya ay mabawi niya lahat ng pinaghirapan niya. He hates his father so much that he couldn't find any reason to forget everything he did to him and to his mother.
