I spot Triston with Kat in his lap making out like hardcore making out. I see Kat's eyes meet mine and she broke away to give me this evil grin and a middle finger. Triston was kissing her neck like he wanted to give her hickies. I wasn't a confrontational person so I just walked away. I pushed past people and headed outside just to clear my head. I spotted a round wicker daybed so I flipped the canopy up so no one inside could see me. I climb in, lay my head on one pillow and grab another one to hold.

Soon I begin to cry my eyes out that who I thought was a friend would do this. She was so petty that when I got Triston she had to make out with him. I knew he wasn't drunk after only three beers, he can hold his liquor well. I know his drinking number when he gets drunk and tipsy. It takes five to six drinks for him to feel tipsy and takes nearly ten for him to be flat-out drunk. So he was practically sober as he was making out with her. He claimed to have never liked her but that make-out session tells me a different story.

I just started to delete every single photo we took together before shoving my phone back into my pocket. Not long after I see someone from the corner of my eye sit down on the daybed with me. I just don't look at them but bury my face into the pillow more. I didn't want to be near anyone right now, especially Triston or Kat. I bet those two are still in their make-out session on the couch or moved to a bedroom.

"Hey, are you alright?" The person asked and I felt their hand on my ankle.

"I just wanna be left alone right now please," I say slowly pulling my legs away from their touch.

"You're clearly upset and I bet it's because you caught your boyfriend making out with that other girl." They were good.

I guess it was just obvious if people saw us walk into the house together and spent most of the party together. I leave for a moment and she makes her move. I just nod my head, yes, I then felt a shifting on the bed.

"Look at me," I just shake my head no, "Come on look at me."

I slowly peek over the pillow into their eyes. They were laying down very close to me and I felt my cheeks heat up because they were so close.

"There we go, eyes like yours should never have to see tears in them. How about we lay here for a little while till you can go back inside? I'm Cyran by the way and may I get your name?"

"Flare and I guess that will be alright," I look anywhere but at him.

My introverted butt just wanted to be alone but I didn't want to seem rude and make him leave. We lay there in silence well other than the music from inside that was blasting. I would just hold the pillow to my chest looking out to the lake and seeing the moon's reflection in it.

"Hey I have a joke for you, wanna hear it?" When I look back at him I see him smile.

"S-sure hit me, I like jokes."

"I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon, I'll let you know."

It was so dumb yet funny but I hold back my laugh.

"You wanna laugh I can tell," I shake my head no. "Ok I have another one, what did the turtle say to the clam?"

"I don't know, what did the turtle say to the clam?" I look at him confused.

"You got to stop being shellfish and share," His smile just gets bigger.

It was such a stupid joke but I laughed at it as it was such a dad joke. For some reason, I laugh at dad jokes, maybe cause my own dad cracks these same dumb jokes. I laugh cause they are stupid but they are still good.

"I got another one."

"O-ok go," I say as I'm still laughing.

"What did the lion say to the lioness?"

"Hmm... I don't know, what did he say?"

"You're my mane squeeze."
