One day passed. Two days passed.

Just two more and Seungcheol will be back. I've left him a text that there's an emergency and he needs to come back as soon as possible, I can't explain everything to him over text and calls, I need to talk to him face to face. Though I don't like him, I can't deny the fact that he's my superior and more experienced than me. Also, if he has a crush on Joshua, he can help me make a better plan.

The volcano eruption is approaching near too. The meteorological department has no idea when it'll explode. Just once this church problem ends, I will send Joshua back to his parents in a few days before it happens. Till then, I'm not letting him leave this house at any cost. If there's any safe place for him on this planet, it's here. With me.

Anyway, Jun replied to me yesterday about the number I sent, it was an official business contact of the Central City Cathedral and not of any individual person. They might be asking Joshua why he wasn't going to their sermons for days. Maybe that's why Joshua blocked the contact because he knows their truth. Even if we try to find it, it'll show only the church's location. So, there's no use chasing behind useless information.

And according to my assumption, they're going to make a move soon, because by now, they must have seen the broken locks of the church.

Just take this burden off my chest as soon as possible. It's suffocating me day by day. I don't know how long I can hide it from Joshua.

Talking about him, it's been three hours straight and he hasn't moved from his laptop. He told me he was working on a project, but it was almost midnight and I'm tired. The situation we're in right now is making my nights sleepless. I often wake up with a start in the middle of the night screaming his name and searching for him.

"Don't tire yourself, Joshua or you'll have problems again," I said peeking at his laptop. I couldn't understand a thing he was doing.

He looked at me, then opened the note tab and typed something. "I would do an all-nighter, you go sleep," I read and sighed. "Then I'm staying up with you,"

And moments later, I was knocked out on the bed beside him. My sleep broke after some minutes when I felt my shoulders shaking. "Mmh... what?" I mumbled with closed eyes and snuggled closely with him. Joshua tapped on my arm, so I reluctantly lifted my head, "Yeah, baby?"

He was showing me my phone screen. Three missed calls from Wonwoo? I frowned. Well, it was plausible as my team was on night shift this week, but he's calling me this late? What's so urgent?

I sat up and called him back, he picked up in an instant, "Hello? Wonwoo?"

"Jeonghan, we got in a huge problem, you've to come here right now," He sounded alarmed,

"Why? What's wrong?"

"Th-They... the cult," he spoke nervously, "They abducted three children,"

My mouth fell wide open, "What are you saying?"

"We've got a call on our police extension line half an hour back. They're so adamant to talk to you. They're not ready to give any number either so we can't know their location. You've to come here now," he said.

"But I..." I looked at Joshua. I can't leave him alone at any cost.

"Please come here quickly, Jeonghan, they're saying they will decapitate the kids if you don't talk to them. I can't figure out what to do, it's getting out of my hand,"
