Y/N POV
Monday, September 2, 1985.

Today could not end soon enough. Everything that could've gone wrong today, went wrong. First of all, I slept through my alarm, giving me only 5 minutes to get ready for school. Then, my dad had to cover a morning shift down at the plant today, meaning I had to walk to school this morning. This wouldn't have bothered me, except it rained extremely hard the entire walk, soaking me and my entire contents of my backpack. My textbooks, my homework, my lunch, everything. Furthermore, I blanked on the fact I had a history presentation due today in first period and completely humiliated myself, not having anything to present. On top of all this, Steve's been ignoring me since our argument on Friday. We had work together yesterday and he didn't look at me once the entire shift, acting as if I didn't even exist. It was absolutely breaking my heart that I was losing my best friend in Hawkins.

I was in the absolute worst mood when I arrived at the Hellfire club for free period. This would be my final meeting I sat in for, as Eddie was only allowing me to be there for two meetings, and I just wanted to get it over with at this point. I briskly walked into the room, and sat down at the table wordlessly. I got here before the rest of the members again, leaving just me and Eddie sitting in silence as he set up for the meeting. After a few minutes, Eddie stopped what he was doing at stared over at me with his arms crossed, his biceps flexing through his dark t-shirt.

"Why the long face, y/n?" He asked, picking up on my shitty mood. "You and your boyfriend still fighting?"

A deep anger bubbled up inside me. I was utterly done with today and could not take a single ounce more of torment, especially not from Eddie. It was his fault that Steve was mad at me anyways. Something inside me finally snapped and I slapped my palms down onto the table.

"What the fuck is your problem?" I lashed out in a blind rage. Eddie straightened his stance, lifting his eyebrows in surprise.

"I don't have a problem," He chuckled nervously at me, not knowing what to make of my sudden outburst. His stupid laugh made me even angrier.

"No, Eddie!" I screamed, standing up abruptly. I circled around the table, cornering him as I continued to yell at him. "Ever since I got here, you've done nothing but give me a hard time. What the fuck have I ever done to you?"

"Hm," He said, pretending to be thinking about it as he mockingly put a finger on his lips. "If anything, it could be the fact that you practically blackmailed me into letting you write your dumb story about my club." He jeered. I could tell he was not taking my anger seriously, pissing me off even further.

"I wouldn't have had to blackmail you," I seethed, putting "blackmail" into air quotes with my fingers. "if you didn't have all these stupid rules about why I couldn't just sit in for one fucking meeting."

"Well, I'm sorry that you're so used to getting everything handed to you," Eddie laughed scornfully at me, getting in my face at this point. "but you can't always get what you want, princess."

He fake pouted down at me, continuing to mock me. My mouth hung in disbelief , disgusted that he would even say such a thing to me, as my vision went red. I felt myself lose my self-restraint as a burning hatred bubbled inside me.

"Well, I'm sorry that you're just some stupid freak and can't get the fuck over yourself." I retaliated. He turned away from me and clenched his jaw, saying nothing in response. My chest heaved as my breathing ran jagged. I ran my hands through my hair in frustration, tugging at the roots. "God, I can't stand you, Munson."

"Oh, believe me, sweetheart," He spat bitterly. "The feeling is mutual."

"Fuck this," I muttered, grabbing my things before storming out of the room as Dustin was entering.
