*A/N: this chapter is basically all VERY DESCRIPTIVE smut...enjoy ;)*
Y/N's POV
Saturday, October 5th, 1985.The bell on the door chimed as Eddie and I left the diner. We'd gone to Sal's after leaving the dance, both of us starving as neither of us had the chance to eat before the dance. We were the only two patrons in the entire diner, all the usual customers still at the dance, as we sat on the same side of the booth. I filled him in on the few enjoyable moments I had at the dance before he showed, my favorites of which being Robin losing her left shoe and Steve getting sick from the spiked punch, as we shared a basket of fries and a milkshake. I was still prattling on about the funny moments with my friends as we walked back to the van.
"And then when Take On Me Came on, Dustin challenged Lucas to a dance-off and Lucas tried to do the splits and he ripped his pants," I giggled, continuing my story, as we slid into our seats in the van. "It was the funniest thing I'd ever seen."
"I wish I'd been there to see it," Eddie smiled down to me as he cranked the engine on.
"Me too," I said, a tinge of sadness in my voice. "Homecoming really wasn't that bad, you know. But it would have been a lot better with you there."
"I know. I'm sorry I got held up for so long," Eddie apologized for the fourth time of the night.
"It's okay. About that though, are you going to tell me what happened?" I asked, gesturing to his bruise under his eyes.
"I told you, it was just a bullshit deal," He shook his head, avoiding the question. I sent him an unsatisfied glare, imploring him silently to divulge more. He sighed and rolled his eyes at me in response before continuing unenthusiastically. "I'd been dealing to this guy for a while and I'd let him off easy for a bit on payment, but a few weeks went by and he still hadn't given me my money. So, tonight I pushed him on it a bit and him and his buddy freaked out on me, and well, I think you can guess the rest. It's fine though, happens all the time."
"Hm," I narrowed my eyes at him contemplatively.
"What?" He asked.
"I don't think I like the fact that you getting jumped by your customers is a regular occurrence," I said flatly, crossing my arms.
"I didn't get jumped, y/n. It wasn't like that. I just pissed someone off and got punched. It wasn't a big deal," He objected, obviously downplaying it.
"It wasn't a big deal this time," I argued, beginning to think of the worst. I didn't know much about the people he dealt to, but I couldn't help but worry that if he pissed off the wrong person, something horrible would happen to him. "What if they had a weapon, Eddie?"
"Babe, you're worrying for nothing. I'm not dealing to this guy anymore. Anyways, I can hold my own," He smiled reassuringly at me, rubbing my knee with his thumb as he grasped it. "Plus, dealing with this kind of shit is worth it. I'd take a fist to the face every day if it meant I could keep buying my girl nice shit like this."
He lightly tugged on the skirt of my dress with that last line, biting his lip ever so slightly. I smiled to myself, knowing that I'd been the one to pay for the dress, but I decided to let him stay ignorant to that fact.
"I mean, fuck babe, look at you," He said, smirking as he adjusted in his seat to face me. "Have I told you how good you look tonight?"
"About twenty times," I laughed as he slowly leaned in towards me.
"Well, I'm telling you again," He said, just above a whisper, his face mere inches from mine at this point. "You're fucking beautiful."
His eyes flickered to my mouth for a brief moment before he closed the gap between us, placing a firm kiss against my lips. He didn't linger on my mouth long, his kisses ambling down my jawline in a trail towards my throat. His hand slowly moved from its spot on my knee, inching up my thigh and under the edge of my skirt. I placed my hands on his chest, resisting his lustrous movements, despite the warmth forming inside of my stomach.
