Taehyung with Jungkook sat at the table in the pub , the only sound coming from the soft rustling of the leaves outside. Taehyung took a swig of his soju, the alcohol warming his belly while Jungkook sat opposite him, his eyes fixed on the bottle as he gulped it down. They could hear the hum of the air conditioner in the background, and the soft melody of a nearby radio.
"So? Will it go bankrupt?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook just nodded and drank his soju. Taehyung sighed at that. He sympathized with his boyfriend. It wasn't easy for Jungkook.
Jungkook chuckled, and Taehyung could clearly see that Jungkook was already slightly drunk. The two of them were sitting at a small pub, their drinks already starting to affect their judgment. Jungkook shook his head, a grin spreading across his face as he leaned back in his chair.
"I'm not going to agree to that," Jungkook said, his voice a little slurred. Taehyung blinks in confusion, trying to understand what he was talking about.
"How not..?" Taehyung asked, his voice laced with confusion. "Your company will go bankrupt, and that's really very bad."
Jungkook let out a loud laugh, his head bouncing back against the chair. "I don't care," he said, a wild light sparkling in his eyes. "I'm not going to marry a man I don't know."
,,What?" Taehyung blinked incomprehensibly at Jungkook's words, but he was also quite surprised.
"What?" asked Taehyung, his voice laced with sadness. "Marry a man? Who?"
"That's right... a man."
Taehyung didn't know what to say to that. He was completely surprised and at the same time, it hurt him. To give up on someone he loves just because his family wanted him to marry someone else? The thought was unbearable.
But at the same time, as much as he hated to admit it, he had a hunch that this day would come. He was just an ordinary boy, while Jungkook was rich. And he knew that for many families, money and social status were more important than love.
Despite his pain, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder what the future would hold for him and Jungkook. Would they be able to overcome this obstacle? Or was this the end of their relationship?
They two sat in silence, their thoughts weighing heavily on their minds. Taehyung took a deep breath and downed his drink in a single gulp, trying to hide the sadness on his face. "Have you met him yet?" he asked, his voice quiet and strained.
"No. But dad arranged the meeting for tomorrow."
Taehyung lowered his head and nodded slowly. Jungkook noticed and reached out, taking his hand and squeezing it gently. "Heyy..." he said, his voice soft and comforting. Taehyung looked up at him, and for a moment, he felt a sense of relief wash over him.
But then the reality of their situation hit him once again. The thought of Jungkook being forced to marry someone else was painful to bear.
But just as he was about to speak, Jungkook cut in. "That wedding will not happen at all," he said, his voice determined. "I will do everything to prevent it from happening." He grabbed Taehyung's hand and kissed it. "If I'm going to marry, then only with you." He smiled slightly at him, and stroked his hand with the tip of his finger.
Taehyung felt a lump form in his throat as he looked into his boyfriend's doe eyes. Despite the pain and uncertainty they were facing, he couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and hope. He returned Jungkook's smile, feeling an incredible sense of gratitude and love for him.
For now, all they could do was hold onto each other and hope for the best. The future was uncertain, but they were in it together.
"Babe," Taehyung pleaded, his voice tinged with worry. "You've had enough. Stop drinking, please."
