The afternoon sun bathed the garden in a warm, golden light, casting long shadows across the neatly trimmed lawn. Namjoon sat comfortably at the small, wrought-iron table, a steaming cup of tea in front of him. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds created a serene atmosphere, one that contrasted with the tension and chaos that often filled their lives.

Taehyung approached the table with a hesitant smile, carrying his own cup of tea. He took a seat opposite Namjoon, glancing around nervously before focusing on the man across from him. The silence between them was comfortable, but Taehyung felt a nagging need to address the elephant in the room—the embarrassing incident that had been on his mind ever since it happened.

Namjoon took a sip of his tea, his sharp eyes watching Taehyung with a hint of amusement. “You seem awfully quiet today, Taehyung. Something on your mind?”

Taehyung chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck in a gesture that betrayed his embarrassment. “Well... yeah, actually. I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that night... You know, when I... when I got drunk and, um, did some really stupid things.”

Namjoon’s lips curled into a small smile, but he remained silent, allowing Taehyung to gather his thoughts.

Taehyung let out a sigh, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush. “I just... I wanted to apologize. I was out of line, and I’m really sorry if I made you uncomfortable or caused any trouble.”

Namjoon set his cup down on the table, his gaze softening as he regarded the younger man. “Taehyung, there’s no need to apologize. We’ve all had moments like that, where we let loose a little too much. Besides,” he added with a chuckle, “it wasn’t as bad as you think. You were more amusing than anything else.”

Taehyung’s eyes widened slightly, and he let out a nervous laugh. “Amusing, huh? I’m pretty sure I made a fool of myself.”

Namjoon shook his head, a fond smile on his lips. “You were just being yourself, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Honestly, it was refreshing to see you so carefree, even if it was under the influence.”

Taehyung relaxed a bit, but the memory of that night still made him cringe. “I guess... but still, I really regret some of the things I said and did. I didn’t mean to—”

Namjoon waved his hand dismissively, cutting him off. “Don’t worry about it. What’s done is done. The important thing is that you’re aware of it and willing to take responsibility. That says a lot about your character.”

Taehyung smiled gratefully, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “Thanks, I really appreciate that.”

Namjoon picked up his tea again, taking another sip before setting the cup down gently. “You know, life is full of moments we wish we could take back, but they shape us into who we are. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Learn from it, and move forward.”
