Jimin’s breath hitched, his body trembling uncontrollably as Yoongi’s enraged voice echoed through the cabin. His mind raced, panic consuming him with every step Yoongi took. Tears filled his eyes, blurring his vision, and his chest heaved with the effort to suppress his sobs. Memories of Yoongi’s past outbursts crashed over him, suffocating and unrelenting.
Not again. Not again. The thought repeated in his mind like a desperate mantra.
The sound of Yoongi’s heavy footsteps grew louder, closer, the floorboards groaning under his weight.
“Jimin…” Yoongi’s voice slithered through the air, low and venomous. “You can’t hide forever. I’ll find you.”
A choked sob escaped Jimin’s lips before he could stop it. He bit down on his trembling fingers, trying to stifle the sound as his gaze darted around the dimly lit hallway. He needed another hiding spot, somewhere Yoongi wouldn’t think to look.
At the end of the corridor, a narrow storage closet caught his eye. It wasn’t much, but it was all he had. His legs felt like they were made of lead, his body trembling as he forced himself to crawl out from under the staircase. Each movement sent shivers of terror through him, but he managed to slip into the closet just as Yoongi’s footsteps entered the hallway.
Inside, the closet was cramped and suffocating, filled with old coats and the faint smell of mildew. Jimin pressed himself into the farthest corner, curling into a ball as his body shook violently. Tears streamed down his face as he covered his mouth with a shaking hand, trying to muffle the sound of his panic.
The door creaked open slightly, and Jimin froze, his entire body rigid with fear. He could hear Yoongi’s footsteps just outside.
“Do you really think you can hide from me?” Yoongi asked, his voice laced with cold mockery. “You think I’m that stupid?”
Jimin’s heart pounded so loudly he was sure Yoongi could hear it. His trauma surged to the surface, memories of every terrifying moment he’d spent with Yoongi flashing through his mind. He clenched his eyes shut, his breath coming in shallow gasps.
Suddenly, Yoongi laughed, the sound sharp and unhinged. “Do you remember the last time you tried to run from me?” he said, his tone soft but dripping with menace. “Now you're doing it again, huh?…”
Jimin’s stomach churned, bile rising in his throat. His hands clenched into fists, his nails digging into his palms as he tried to ground himself.
A loud crash startled him as Yoongi kicked open a nearby door. “I’ll find you.” he roared, his voice echoing through the cabin. “And when I do…” He trailed off, letting the threat linger like a dark promise. "I'll kill you."
Jimin’s tears spilled over, his body shaking as he tried to stay silent. His lips trembled as he whispered to himself, “Stay calm. Stay calm."
Each second felt like an eternity, the weight of his trauma pressing down on him as Yoongi’s shadow loomed closer. But even as the fear threatened to overwhelm him, a flicker of defiance burned in Jimin’s chest.
Yoongi’s snarl twisted into a grimace as sharp pain radiated from his thigh. His hand shot down to press against the wound, warm blood seeping through his fingers. His gaze darkened, a mix of fury and disbelief flashing across his face.
"Fuck it."
He stumbled back, leaning heavily against the wall. The adrenaline that had driven his rage began to waver, replaced by the dull, throbbing ache in his leg. He cursed under his breath, biting down the pain as he turned away from the hallway.
