As Yoongi approached the venue, surrounded by the buzz and chaos leading up to the fashion show, he spotted an unmarked delivery van parked at the edge of the lot. Inside, dim light suggested that someone might be inside, but he only saw shadows from a distance.
His heart raced as he decided to take a chance. He crept closer to the vehicle, using the growing darkness to his advantage. He listened intently, hoping to overhear any conversations.
After a few tense minutes with no sign of activity, he made his move. Yoongi opened the back doors of the van and slipped inside. The interior was cluttered with several uniforms—staff outfits waiting for their wearers. Quickly, he located a pair of loose-fitting trousers and a shirt emblazoned with the event organizer's logo.
As he hastily changed into the uniform, he heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw a man walking toward the van. Yoongi’s adrenaline spiked as he ducked down, holding his breath, praying he wouldn’t be discovered. The man paused at the back of the vehicle, and Yoongi could hear him muttering about needing to grab supplies before heading into the venue.
With a moment of luck on his side, the man turned away, leaving Yoongi the perfect opportunity to slip out of the van and blend in with the crowd, now dressed as one of the staff. He felt a surge of confidence as he walked past security, who were distracted by the throngs of guests and the excitement of the event.
As he entered the venue, Yoongi couldn’t help but smirk, knowing he was one step closer to Jimin.
The moment Yoongi entered the venue, he felt the electrifying buzz of the fashion show envelop him. The lights dimmed and pulsed, and the rhythmic beat of music vibrated through the floor. Excited chatter filled the air as guests mingled and posed for photographs. With his uniform blending in seamlessly, Yoongi moved with purpose through the throngs of attendees.
He maneuvered through the crowd, eyes darting to spot the entrance to the backstage area. The moment he saw it, he quickened his pace. A pair of security guards stood by the door, their attention divided between checking IDs and managing the flow of people. They were too absorbed in the chaos to notice a mere staff member slipping by.
“Excuse me,” Yoongi said, projecting a confident tone as he approached. He kept his head down, making sure to avoid eye contact, relying on the authority of his uniform. The guards barely glanced at him, their eyes focused on the glamorous guests. “I need to grab some supplies for the models. The manager is expecting me.”
One of the guards waved him through with a grunt, too busy glancing at a group of arriving celebrities. Yoongi suppressed a triumphant smirk as he stepped through the door, the thumping bass of the music fading into a distant thrum behind him.
Once backstage, he was greeted by a whirlwind of activity. Stylists hurried past, models practiced their walks, and makeup artists adjusted their kits. Yoongi’s heart raced, fueled by the adrenaline of being so close to Jimin. He navigated the maze of mirrors, clothing racks, and bustling crew, his eyes scanning for the familiar figure.
As he pushed deeper into the chaos, he spotted a small area where several staff members were gathered, some discussing last-minute changes while others adjusted costumes. The atmosphere was tense, but excitement crackled in the air. Yoongi’s determination surged, and he kept moving, slipping past the commotion.
Finally, he turned a corner and caught sight of Jimin standing by a makeup station, his expression a mixture of nerves and concentration. Relief flooded through Yoongi, but it was quickly overshadowed by the thrill of seeing his ex-boyfriend after all this time.
