The basement of the cabin was cold and damp, the air thick with fear as Jimin stumbled into the darkness. The door slammed shut behind him, the metallic clang of the lock echoing like a death knell in his ears.

“Open the door! Open the door!” he shouted, panic rising in his chest. He banged on the heavy wood, the sound muffled in the oppressive silence.

“Stay there. I won’t open the door until you realize I’m right,” Yoongi’s voice came from the other side, cool and menacing.

“Please! Don’t do this! Let me out!” Jimin begged, his voice cracking as he pressed his back against the cold wall, heart racing.

“Shut up!” Yoongi barked, his frustration palpable.

Jimin’s fists fell to his sides, despair creeping in. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to sound steady. “I’m sorry… I’m really sorry.”

Silence. Jimin could almost hear Yoongi’s thoughts swirling in the dark.

“I’m sorry… You’re right,” Jimin continued, a hint of manipulation creeping into his tone. “Maybe this is my fate. I need to accept it.”

“What?” Yoongi’s voice softened, curiosity seeping through the cracks of his anger.

“Maybe… we’re meant for each other,” Jimin said, hoping to coax Yoongi back to him, back to the man he once loved.

“Are you telling the truth?” Yoongi asked, skepticism edging his words.

“Yes, but I’m afraid you haven’t changed,” Jimin pressed, his heart racing. “I need the old Yoongi, the one who used to smile and be gentle with me.”

“I changed,” Yoongi replied, his voice laced with bitterness.

“How can you prove that when you’re doing this?” Jimin shot back, his frustration bubbling to the surface.

“Because I felt you were bored of me!” Yoongi’s voice was strained, revealing his own insecurities.

“No! That’s a lie!” Jimin retorted, tears pricking at his eyes. “I loved you! You were too jealous, and then you hurt me! You scared me!”

“No… no… I didn’t!” Yoongi’s denial faltered, uncertainty creeping in.

“Yes, you did! You ruined what we had!” Jimin cried, desperation filling the space between them.

“I loved you for who you are, even with your flaws! You mattered to me!” His voice cracked, raw emotion spilling out as he banged his fist against the door.

A heavy silence fell. Jimin pressed his forehead against the wood, feeling the weight of their shattered relationship.

“OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN IT!! PLEASE!!” Jimin’s voice broke, echoing in the darkness.

The silence hung heavy in the air, suffocating, as Jimin waited with bated breath. His heart was racing, every second dragging on like an eternity, his hands trembling as he pressed them against the cold wood of the door. He could feel Yoongi on the other side, pacing, anger simmering just beneath the surface, but there was something else too. Doubt. Hesitation. It was the crack he needed.

"Yoongi..." Jimin’s voice trembled, but he kept it steady, just enough to pull him in. "I’m sorry… for everything. You were right. I’ve been selfish."

Yoongi’s voice was low, guarded. "Selfish? You think this is about you being selfish? You ruined everything. I tried, I tried to make it work!"

Jimin clenched his fists, the raw desperation welling up inside of him. He had to make Yoongi see it his way. "I didn’t want to hurt you, Yoongi. But... I didn’t know how to fix it. I just... I was scared. I was so scared of losing myself."
