Jimin let out a deep, exasperated sigh as he tightened his grip around Jungkook’s waist, half-dragging, half-carrying the younger man toward the car. His muscles strained under the weight, but more than that, it was the sheer difficulty of managing Jungkook’s wobbly limbs and unpredictable movements that made the task nearly impossible.
"You are absolutely impossible," Jimin muttered under his breath, shifting Jungkook’s arm higher over his shoulder in an attempt to keep him upright.
Jungkook, however, seemed completely unbothered by the struggle. If anything, he looked amused. A lopsided grin stretched across his lips as he leaned into Jimin’s hold, his body pliant and unhelpful. "Am I too heavy?" he slurred, his warm breath ghosting over Jimin’s ear, sending an uninvited shiver down his spine.
Jimin groaned. "Just—move.. Walk. Do something."
But Jungkook didn’t move. He simply let out a content sigh, resting more of his weight against Jimin as if he had no intention of helping at all.
With a considerable amount of effort, Jimin finally managed to wrestle Jungkook into the passenger seat, shoving him in before stepping back with a dramatic huff. He ran a hand through his disheveled blond hair, inhaling deeply to steady himself before moving to the driver's side.
Sliding in, he clicked his seatbelt into place and glanced at Jungkook. "Seatbelt."
Jungkook blinked at him, his expression foggy, as if Jimin had just spoken in an entirely different language. "...What?"
"Your seatbelt. Put it on," Jimin repeated, slower this time.
Jungkook turned his head lazily, his eyes landing on the seatbelt strap. He stared at it like it was some kind of foreign contraption designed to personally betray him. After a long pause, he looked back at Jimin, his dark eyes wide and pleading. "O-Oh… I think I can't."
Jimin squeezed his eyes shut for a brief second, summoning patience from every corner of the universe. He exhaled sharply. "You are such a handful, Jungkook…"
Without another word, he leaned over, grabbing the seatbelt and pulling it across Jungkook’s chest. But just as he was about to secure it, strong arms suddenly wrapped around his waist, pulling him in.
"Yah—! Jungkook!"
Jungkook buried his face into Jimin’s shoulder, sighing like he had just found the coziest place in the world. "So warm…"
Jimin froze. Every muscle in his body locked in place as he processed the situation.
"W-What are you doing?! Let go!" he sputtered, his heart hammering against his ribs.
"Mmm… no."
Jimin felt his face heat up at the firm grip around his waist. Jungkook clung to him like a sleepy koala, completely unbothered by Jimin’s growing panic.
"Jungkook, I swear—"
Before Jimin could finish, Jungkook suddenly pulled back just enough to meet his eyes. His face was so close that Jimin could see every little detail—the soft curve of his lips, the unfocused yet oddly intense look in his gaze.
"You smell like strawberries," Jungkook murmured.
Jimin blinked. "What?"
Jungkook’s nose scrunched slightly as he tilted his head. "Your shampoo… it smells like strawberries." A slow, lazy smile stretched across his lips. "It’s cute."
Jimin definitely did not just turn ten different shades of red.
"O-Okay, that’s enough," he huffed, quickly buckling Jungkook’s seatbelt before prying his hands off. He cleared his throat, desperately ignoring the warmth lingering on his skin where Jungkook had been holding him. "Sit properly and behave."
