"It's really good to hear your voice after this tiring day," Beomgyu chimed in after his friend arrived home, crawled into the room and called him. "Even though I was just out and about today and my legs feel broken, I really missed you."

"I really missed you too," Yeonjun murmured with a soft smile on his lips. Only the one on the other line couldn't see it. "Why did you go out so much today? Because of school shopping?"

A little rustling was heard briefly before Beomgyu replied, "Yes, we went shopping for my start at the new school tomorrow, some notebooks, pens. I got to dye my hair like I said - oh, right!"

He immediately switched the call to video so his friend could see.

And as soon as he saw his favorite's hair, now shining a natural black, Yeonjun's eyebrows drew together. He pushed his lower lip forward and then sighed with a smile.

Beomgyu looked incredibly handsome, even if he was constantly tugging at his slightly shorter bangs and posing slightly over the top.

"It looks really good on you," Yeonjun then admitted, holding his phone a bit away so Beomgyu could see him too. He straightened up and scrambled out of bed so he could sit on his desk chair. "You look really good."

Chuckling, Beomgyu squinted his eyes and was pleased to hear the other's praise. He had expected worse, too, black being his natural hair color and Yeonjun had certainly seen him with it at some point. But this was a long time ago, certainly in their first school days, and neither had taken much interest in each other then. "Thank you. How did it go at school? Everything okay at home? How is Hanseo?", he bombarded his friend directly with questions.

With a chuckle, Yeonjun leaned the phone against his water bottle so he wouldn't have to hold it and thought about it. "Pretty good, I guess," he answered all three questions, though he was sorry he couldn't tell him the truth. "I learned some new signs."

He proudly demonstrated the signs sun, clouds, rain, and some verbs.

"That's good!" praised Beomgyu enthusiastically, bringing the cell phone close to his face and sending him a few kisses. "You've really gotten better lately. Are you able to have a proper conversation with Hanseo yet, or are you still drawing little stories to each other?"
