Beomgyu didn't notice much of the hustle and bustle at home, not even that a breakup between Byungho and Jaeyi had been an issue before, because Yeonjun tried to burden his boyfriend as little as possible. For that reason, a whole week had passed in which Beomgyu was only exposed to his own problems in the new school, as the fear of being exposed with his sexuality grew. Some of his classmates, with whom he had now already had contact, had naturally inquired about why he had changed schools, and to all of them he told that he was just a child of divorce.

Fortunately, Beomgyu spent a lot of time with Kai and Mashiro, who gave him a little support.

This was also the case now, when he was in the library with the girl to borrow new books, since Mashiro was still busy learning sign language.

"You look tense," she noted before pulling a fantasy book from the shelf they were leaning against. "Is something wrong?" she then asked, tugging worriedly at her black hair.

Beomgyu looked over at the girl, standing beside Mashiro lost in thought and looking at the many spines of books. His fingers stroked the covers as he slowly lowered his arm. Her attentiveness was remarkable, and also put him at ease. "I was just thinking," he said, giving her a gentle smile, at the same time Beomgyu quickly tried to divert from the subject by taking a step toward her. "What are you reading?"

"Eragon," she smiled, showing him the cover of the book. A dragon's head was painted on a blue background, and it was a popular book in the western world. "Do you know it?"

"Yes," Beomgyu replied with a nod, then an amused smirk flitted across his lips, "are you reading it because of Eragon or because of Saphira?"

A soft giggle escaped Mashiro before playfully and lightly slapping the sly student on the forearm. "Because of the story in general, of course. Eragon seems a little immature to me," she then said, shrugging her shoulders. "But you're right, I do love Saphira."

Grinning, Beomgyu let his gaze wander over Mashiro's head, scanning the titles of the books. "You're right. Eragon is a little immature, but maybe that's because he's a man."
