After this action, the truth about Jinhyun, who had hit Beomgyu so hard that he had sustained all the bruises and wounds, had finally come out.

The clique as well as the culprit had to show up at the principal's office, where it turned out that Jinhyun had actually been suspended. He was no longer allowed to attend school and this felt, at least in part, like a bit of justice for Beomgyu. There had been enough witnesses who had heard the conversation between Ryujin and the thug, and Jinhyun himself had also admitted it to the principal. Ryujin, on the other hand, who had taken a while to come out of the bathroom, had been given detention for the fight, as had Yeonjun, who had gotten physical.

The girl could have done without the detention together with her former best friend and would have preferred to be suspended. But it was already too late for that decision, because Ryujin only learned about it when she found the blue-haired man in the classroom.

The latter was sitting in his usual place, long legs bent, leaning against the bench, and except for him and a boy from the lower level, no one had been given detention. Not even Taehyun and Soobin, after all they had not fought.

Yeonjun's gaze lingered on the book in front of him on which his smartphone was resting, and when he heard Ryujin through the corner of his eye, he glanced at her briefly.

Sighing, she glanced at the strange boy, then continued to the front row and sat down at the school desk next to the wall, far away from Yeonjun and where she couldn't see him out of the corner of her eye either. She even turned her face towards the wall, and with that posture alone, you would never guess that she had stood up for her childhood friend and Beomgyu just a few hours ago.

Or at least wanted to.

And that was something Yeonjun was still worried about. He had heard some things from various people, but he would have liked to know what had really happened. If she had indeed defended his sexuality, it was unfair to punish her with silence.

The girl still had her protective instinct in her, but the fact that she now turned her back on him showed how hurt she was.

They had spent their entire childhood together, did they really have no words for each other now?
