When they finally arrived home, loaded with Beomgyu's luggage, the first person the Star Wars fan could see was his sister. He immediately dropped the bag and got down on his knees as Hanseo ran to meet him, wrapping her short arms and legs around her big brother. With his face buried in the crook of her neck, Beomgyu stood up with his sister in his arms and hugged her tightly.

He had missed Hanseo so much.

Because unlike Yeonjun or Yewon, he couldn't just talk to her on the phone, and Hanseo didn't have her own cell phone to write messages yet.

Finally, Beomgyu's gaze wandered over his sister's shoulder and spotted his mother, who was still standing in the living room with some distance between them, struggling to smile. Still, you could see her keeping an eye on the distance between Yeonjun and him. It was obvious that she was not entirely comfortable with this relationship.

So why had she agreed to let Beomgyu stay for the weekend?

What had made her change her mind?

One couldn't even interpret whether that expression on her face was regret.

But at that moment, all that mattered was Beomgyu and Hanseo's reunion, which was what had made their mother allow the visit in the first place. The girl pushed her lower lip forward, snuggling up to her brother, while the others present watched the scene with a mild smile.

Beomgyu took three steps toward his mother and greeted her quietly.

And Jaeyi raised her hand to stroke her son's head. Maybe she really felt bad about what had happened, or maybe she was just sorry because mother and son had always had a good relationship. But this simple gesture alone was enough for Beomgyu to be close to tears. He lowered his head, buried himself more with his sister, but said nothing, just sniffled softly.

It was heartbreaking, especially because you could tell Beomgyu wasn't feeling well, so Byungho carefully raised his voice, "You're welcome to have some time to yourselves."

However, he didn't mean the couple, but Beomgyu and his sister.

"Well, you can go ahead and take your suitcase upstairs," he added as he eyed Jaeyi's every move. It was better to take it easy than to overwhelm Beomgyu right away.
