The departure back to Daegu was bad for Beomgyu. But also for Yeonjun, that much was certain.

Still, it had to be done, and as the black-haired nerd sat back in his classroom on Monday, he felt one part good and three parts bad. He'd had that wonderful experience with Yeonjun in the hot tub, and every time he thought about it, his heart beat faster and heat surged into his head. But at the same time, he had in the back of his mind that he hadn't had the chance to see his sister this weekend.

And he missed Hanseo incredibly.

For that reason, he found it difficult to follow his teacher's lessons and was completely lost in thought.

Huening Kai, his seat neighbor, noticed the unfocused behavior and poked him in the side, who flinched in surprise. He then leaned a little in Beomgyu's direction and whispered, "Did you have a rough weekend?"

"Very grueling," the Choi admitted quietly, giving the teacher an appraising look. "Was with friends," he added, now looking directly at Kai again.

The latter smiled broadly and nodded with interest.

"Cool, I bet your friends are such geniuses too," Kai remarked, at the same time showing how impressed he was with Beomgyu. The Huening had this playful enthusiasm in his eyes, which really counted as his charm. He seemed innocent and bright. "What have you guys been up to?"

Beomgyu smirked at the statement.

He wouldn't necessarily say that, except for Yewon, everyone else was a genius either. Unless there was an achievement for popularity, in which case Yeonjun and his friends were definitely among the Einsteins in that field.

Amused, Beomgyu waved it off because he didn't want Kai to have such an idea and then perhaps be disappointed should he ever meet Yeonjun. "No, my friends are more like the school's favorites, but don't ask me how I got that way," Beomgyu answered right away, because otherwise he would have to tell his new friend about his relationship with his stepbrother right away. "We were at a buddy's house, partying a little bit. You see, he and my best friend are a couple."
