Pouting, Huening Kai kept staring at the empty seat at his side. Beomgyu hadn't been to school in two days, and somehow he missed his smart classmate. Mashiro seemed to be a little worried too, after all she was dating Beomgyu and he hadn't responded to her questions about why he wasn't in school and if he was okay.

The other students had also noticed that the seat next to Kai had been vacant for some time, and when a boy also turned to him to jokingly ask if Beomgyu had disappeared, it seemed to send an icy chill down Kai's spine.

His new buddy really wasn't available and he was starting to get worried.

Had he moved back in with his mother without saying anything?

At the break, Mashiro came right up to Kai and pressed their palms flat on his desk. "We should stop by his house," she suggested, to which her mate nodded.

"Nothing will have happened to him, will it?" asked Kai anxiously, his eyebrows drawn together. The two of them knew purely nothing about the things going on in Seoul, which is why they just had to wait until something happened.

Or just go and see for themselves.

Mashiro shrugged his shoulders indecisively and glanced at the empty seat next to Kai.

"I just hope he's just sick and he turned off his cell phone to get some rest. But he was with his family in Seoul ... - I have a bit of a bad feeling," she said softly and sighed.

Kai gave a low hum before leaning back in the chair. "Do you think it has something to do with it?"

"He was bullied at his old school, wasn't he? Could be he ran into some of them there," Mashiro murmured, standing by the table and sliding her palm over it. "Let's go straight to his house after school, okay?"

Kai nodded in agreement; after all, he was burning to know what was going on with Beomgyu. Moreover, he could tell from Mashiro's expression that she was really worried. And so the two of them went on their way as discussed. After all, it would be difficult for them to live in ignorance for another few days as long as Beomgyu didn't contact them. Which the latter hadn't done even after the last lessons, and when Mashiro finally pressed the bell, it took a few seconds for Goo to show up.
