His mother's statement had definitely dampened Beomgyu's spirits, and as they were on the bus heading downtown to the planetarium, the black-haired man sat silently moping by the window, staring outside.

Of course, it was obvious that the situation was weighing on him, and Yeonjun could understand. Still, he tried to assist Beomgyu with small gestures, rubbing his knee against his friend's or occasionally running his hand unseen over his thigh. He looked at the dark-haired man's profile from his glasses to his light-colored jeans and chewed thoughtfully on his lower lip.

"Hey," Yeonjun admonished him gently.

"What?" replied Beomgyu quietly, lifting his head to look at the blond beside him. Even though he had overheard Yeonjun's attempts, the black-haired nerd still didn't feel very good.

Therefore, Yeonjun leaned his shoulder against him a bit and raised his arm on the armrest to block the stares of the gawking people sitting behind them. "You and me at the planetarium, okay?"

"Yeah, ... but the way my mom said it, it sounded like she didn't want Hanseo to see us like that ..." grumbled Beomgyu with a heavy sigh, looking out the window again sorrowfully. As if their relationship was still a bad thing, even though Jaeyi tolerated it. At least it made it seem like she did, but just the fact that they hadn't been allowed to take Hanseo with them showed otherwise.

Slowly, Yeonjun nodded, for he too had had these thoughts. Carefully, he stroked Beomgyu's hair and struggled to smile.

"I know, it really sucks what she said. At the same time, it doesn't matter to Hanseo if two guys love each other."

And Yeonjun was right.

It didn't matter to Hanseo because she liked both her brother and stepbrother. Who even knew if the little girl would even understand what was going on between the two boys and if it would bother her. Nodding, Beomgyu leaned back in his seat and sighed heavily as the bus stopped at a station and let in the next few passersby. Among them were a couple of teenagers, with a distinctive voice among them, causing Beomgyu to automatically tense up. His eyes immediately wandered to the older former classmate Jinhyung.
