Chapter 10

Charlotte smiled lazily at the sight of her stunning girlfriend walking through her bedroom door. "Hey beautiful." Ivy greeted, making Charlotte blush as Ivy joined her in her bed. "Such a charmer." Charlotte spoke playfully, causing Ivy to wink at her before the two began laughing.

"I brought you gummy worms." Ivy informed as she pulled out a new bag of Gummy worms and placed it on Charlotte's lap. "You got the sour ones!" Charlotte cheered before kissing Ivy quickly on the cheek. Ivy giggled before focusing on Charlotte's appearance. She had dark circles under her eyes from the extremely early start this morning, her eyes were a little blood shot from crying, she had some ice cream on the corner of her mouth, and she was wearing nothing but a bra, white tank and probably large comfortable underwear that were hidden by the covers.

"I'm not sure why, but I like you even when you're staring at me like a creep." Charlotte joked, snapping Ivy out of her trance. "You're pretty, I like staring at you, pictures aren't the same."

Charlotte blushed again as she cuddled into Ivy, glad that she has such an amazing girlfriend. "Do you like me?" Charlotte asked, Ivy nodded, "Definitely. Do you like me?"

"You bring me gummy worms, so yeah." Ivy chuckled before getting comfortable under Charlotte's duvet and cuddle up to Charlotte, resting her head on top of hers, her left arm securely around Charlotte's waist and her right hand gently massaging Charlotte's lower tummy muscles, making Charlotte moan lightly. "That feel good." Charlotte replied, simply finding the feeling on Ivy's fingers on her skin relaxing in itself, but having her so innocently massaging that painful area made her relax and turn into putty in Ivy's hands. And Ivy was enjoying the contact just as much, completely relishing the feeling of how Charlotte's skin felt and how she managed to get the girl to shiver and break out into Goosebumps by a simply rubbing circles into her tummy.

"You still tired baby?" Ivy cooed, noticing that Charlotte was drifting off again, not that she minded. She wouldn't mind an excuse to cuddle and fall asleep. So when Charlotte's chest began to rise and fall evenly, Ivy allowed her self to succumb to the pull of sleep, and eventually stopped her movements on Charlotte's stomach as she focused on the honey scent Charlotte's hair held before her senses shut down completely.

Lauren sighed as she sat down in Dr Harper's office. The amount of time she'd spent in hospitals was enough to last the dark brunette a life time, but the odd, unreadable tone of Dr Harper's voice dismissed her complaining and made her follow the Doctor into her office without question.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked as Harper sat down at her desk and crossed her arms on top of it. "Lauren, how much do you know about Charlotte's family?"

Lauren shook her head, "Not much at all, all I know is that her parents died in a car accident, she used to live with a Grandma of hers until she died and then she was stuck with her Uncle into she was taken to the orphanage." Lauren explained as she felt a bubble of discomfort grow in her stomach under Dr Harper's gaze.

"Well, we discovered something. Charlotte wanted me to find out the name of her parents for her and possibly find where they were buried, and going through some files I discovered something." Dr Harper began softly.

"Charlotte has a family."

Lauren felt her world stop. "W-what?" She breathed. Her head was spinning at a hundred miles per hour and she couldn't fathom any thoughts that weren't remotely incoherent.

"I realise this is a lot to take in, but she has an Aunt and Uncle who are Madison and George Groove. They live in Georgia and they've actually been looking for her. Unfortunately they were in England whilst Charlotte's life got flipped upside down, the agency obviously never managed to get in touch with them before you adopted Charlotte." Dr Harper explained, "Charlotte's Aunt is her Mother's half sister and she and her husband have two children, one's eight the other's four."
