A/N
This chapter talks about abortions, which I know is a very controversial subject. If you don't feel comfortable just skip it. And also bare in mind that this is just a story and people are free to do what they want.
------------
Charlotte woke up screaming, like she did most days.
Sweat was dripping down her forehead, her hair was damp and her whole body felt sticky. Lauren felt her heart break like it always did when Charlotte woke up this way. A wave of hate hit for that was aimed for those disgusting low life's that did this to her daughter, she didn't know how long it would take to stop the nightmares this time, but Lauren knew that it was going to be longer than the last.
The only thing that was different from before was the fact that Charlotte didn't have any brain injuries. But she did have something else.
A baby.
Charlotte had found out a week ago. She was beyond devastated as was Lauren and Camila, the only two other souls apart from the doctor and Charlotte to know. Lauren wanted to find those men and kill them. She thought Charlotte would think she was burdened to have a baby she didn't want, so she was surprised to hear Charlotte ask almost immediately if the 'thing' could be removed. And to everyone's relief, it could. And that she was booked in to have it aborted a day later, and no soul would hear about it.
The teen was scared to tell Ivy, she knew her girlfriend wasn't all for abortions, but Charlotte refused to give life to something that was created in the most disgusting and dehumanising way. But she still felt guilty for not telling Ivy.
The appointment was later today. After spending nearly a month in the horrible hospital, she desperately wanted to get out and start therapy. The sooner she started therapy the sooner the nightmares would stop and she'd get more than 4 hours sleep, then she could identify all the men that abused her and be free.
But today was just surviving today.
Lauren rubbed Charlotte's back as the smaller girl calmed down. She looked to her left to see that it was half 3 in the morning, the latest Charlotte had woken up.
"Flashback?" Lauren asked. Charlotte shook her head, "It was about Ivy." Charlotte practically whispered, suddenly feeling sick to her stomach at the memory of the dream. Lauren didn't want to know what happened in it, and to her own selfishness she was relieved when it seemed Charlotte didn't feel like sharing.
"Mom I have to tell her."
Lauren nodded and kissed her temple. "Shall I call her now or later?" Lauren asked softly as she brushed some strands of hair off of Charlotte's face.
"Now," she asked softly. "The sooner the better."
When Ivy arrived, she knew immediately something was wrong, and it wasn't just that Charlotte was tired.
It had taken the slight older girl by surprise that Charlotte didn't mind her being affectionate. She even kissed her every now and then without trouble or fear. She wasn't naive enough to think that everything would be how it was four months previous.
Charlotte didn't let her kiss her cheek hello or hold her hand. Ivy couldn't help but feel hurt. She knew that Charlotte's dreams were vivid and that when she had one about one of the girls or herself she was a little wary. But not to the point where she denied all contact.
"Baby I-"
"I'm pregnant." Charlotte blurted out. Not being able to hold it in or let the tense silence get worse. She didn't dare look at Ivy, scared to see her smiling with glee. But that wasn't the case at all.
