Chapter 15

Charlotte groaned as she felt someone shake her shoulder to wake her up. She attempted to roll away but instead immediately fell onto the cold hard floor of the Hospital.

"Charlotte Wakey! Megan chuckled as she sat on Charlotte's stomach and prodded her face. Charlotte let out a deep breath and sat up, stretching her doe neck and arms out as she did since sleeping on a small hospital chair all night seriously did her no favours at all.

"There you are," Madison chuckled in relief as she walked over to both Megan and Charlotte, "When I couldn't find you this morning I was so worried."

Charlotte winced as she stood up and stretched just as Megan climbed off of her. The cracks that her bones made made her feel a little sick, but she supposed that was the price you pay when you sleep on three hospital chairs in a hallway.

"Sorry," Charlotte sighed, "I couldn't sleep with all those machines going off, so I came out to wonder around and then I just laid down and I was out." She explained as she ran her fingers through her hair, dreading to imagine how disheveled it probably looked.

"Well, Lydia's got to stay here for a few more days, so I'm just about to go home and get some things, do you want to come?" Madison asked as she picked up Megan.

"Yeah, you go ahead I'm just going to see Lydia first." Charlotte nodded.

"okay, well, we'll be in the car." Madison stated. Charlotte again nodded before walking back to the Hospital room that she had escaped last night. The constant beeps had slowly driven her insane to the point where she had snuck out and walked around the hospital for an hour at 2am, and hospitals at 2am were freaky as fuck.

"Char!" Lydia squealed excitedly, though her eyes were a little red. Charlotte noticed the Nurse with an injection in her hand, obviously something to ease Lydia's awful fever. She had the same yesterday but Lydia was to out of it and sick to realise, but it was a whole new story now.

"Hey Munchkin," Charlotte smiled before going over to Lydia and sitting on her bed, the Nurse seemed a little tired and sad, which was understandable, making Lydia cry was the most terrible thing you could ever do, and clearly the thought of being injected has made Lydia cry.

"Hey, you know what's in that?" Charlotte asked as she pointed to the needle, Lydia whimpered and shook her head.

"Super powers." Charlotte stated confidently. Lydia looked at her with wide eyes, "Really?"

Charlotte nodded, "Yep, the only reason I can climb and run so fast is because I had to have an injection and they make you better and give you powers."

Lydia seemed to be fully convinced by this and took a deep breath, "I want super powers." she whispered. Charlotte nodded.

"Good, so look at me and tell me all the powers you want, remember though it has to get rid of your bug first okay?"

Lydia nodded excitedly and looked at Charlotte as she enthusiastically began tell Charlotte every power she wanted as the nurse injected her.

"And you're done." The Nurse stated happily, silently mouthing, "Thank you" to Charlotte as Lydia poked her arm. "It didn't hurt!" Lydia exclaimed happily.

George, who was watching silently, walked over to them and sat on the other side of Lydia before placing a kiss on her head.

"I'm going to go home and shower, so I'll see you in a while okay?" Charlotte asked. Lydia nodded happily and continued to talk animatedly to George about all her powers she was going to get, letting Charlotte slip out unnoticed.

Once back at the Groove's house, Madison went over to Mrs Jenkin's house. She was the elderly lady next door who used to watch the girls before Charlotte arrived, but she had watched Charlie last night since they went to the hospital.
