Charlotte gently pushed open the hotel room door. It had been so long since she had had a nightmare, so long since she had been to terrified to get out of bed or even scream to Lauren.

She peered inside to see that the room was dark, the only light in the room was flooding in from the glass balcony door that looked over Italy.

She froze. This was their holiday. Their getaway from everything. Lauren would propose to Camila in a few days after they get to Paris. She shouldn't ruin that for them, she shouldn't bother and worry them.

Her right hand fell to the scars on her hips. She supposed it was the boisterous men she saw early that day that had set off her PTSD. Even Lauren and Camila had picked up on it, they even asked her if she wanted to stay with her during the night, but being the stubborn Jauregui that she is, she declined.

She was about to turn around and walk out once more when she heard Camila speak up.

"Charlotte baby?" Camila asked sleepily as she pushed herself up on her elbow. Charlotte shut the door behind her and ran over to Camila, her memories flooding back to her with every step she took. She could feel them touching her, the sharp pain of their abuse spreading through her body. Camila, noticing the tears falling from Charlotte's eyes in the dim light quickly threw the duvet off of her frame and clambered to the edge of the bed and pulled Charlotte into her body, holding the girl close to her as she broke down, crying out in agony and begging Camila to make it stop.

Lauren quickly woke up to the all to familiar sound of Charlotte's cries and sat up, immediately feeling her heart break at the sight before. Camila was holding Charlotte close to her chest, the you her girl sat in her lap, clutching desperately at the fabric of Camila's sleep shirt as she cried in despair, "make it stop Camz," she begged. Lauren crawled beside them and gently placed her hands on Charlotte's tear drenched cheeks.

"Charlotte it's not real," Lauren spoke softly as she fought to keep her tone even and not break down along side the small girl, "it's not happening baby, your safe, they can't get you." She continued as she used her thumbs to stroke Charlotte's tears away.

It took what felt like hours for Charlotte to finally come back. The flow of her tears began to cease and her pleas stopped. Charlotte blinked her eyes groggily and stared at Lauren, her eyes were blood shot and sad, her bottom lip was quivering wildly as fresh tears began to build.

"Mom..."

That's was all she said before Lauren hugged her tightly, "I know baby," she whispered as she stroked the back of Charlotte's head, "I know baby but it's over. You're safe okay? I promise you you're safe."

Charlotte nodded tiredly before resting her head on Camila's shoulder. The couple looked at each other before nodding gently and moving back up to the pillows, bringing Charlotte along with them as they all snuggled up together. Charlotte was clinging onto Camila as if she was a teddy bear and Lauren was laying behind her, her arm wrapped protectively around Charlotte's and Camila's waist.

When the morning came around the two older girls saw that the events of last night had a visible toll on the small girl. Charlotte refused to be far from Lauren or Camila as they walked through the streets of Italy, taking in everything and how peaceful everything was here. Charlotte looked drained, but by the time the afternoon had rolled round and the small girl had a good amount of food in her system and had managed to have a nap as they went on a tour around the city in a bus, she was slowly bouncing back, showing enthusiasm for things and running off to wherever her attention was drawn.

Camila and Lauren couldn't help but giggle at Charlotte's new found enthusiasm, it was nice to see her getting lively again after such a stressed night.
