New House

"So.....House?" Steve asked after waking up.

"Yes, Steve. We're building a house today," Josh said as if he was talking to a dog. He turned to me, "Mike, while you were gone, I drew up a blueprint for a house. We have all the materials we need since we have started gathering resources. We even cleared an area while we were waiting for you to get back."

I stretched my tired muscles and asked, "You already cleared a spot?"

Steve, who was munching on some bread, nodded and answered, "Yeah we went through a lot of wooden shovels." We all ate breakfast and headed outside. "Alright Mr. Engineer. Tell us what we need to do," ordered Steve with a mock official tone.

Josh didn't seem to notice and answered him excitedly, "You got it. We need the foundation right here, cobblestone. Pillars right here, oak logs. Wooden planks here for the walls and floor." We continued in this fashion for the next three hours. Even with all of our building skills we still lagged behind Josh's orders. Although it didn't matter, we finished building the house rather quickly. We made a couple beds so no more sleeping on the ground. After we finished the exterior of the house, we began to furnish the inside of the house with decorations.

The first floor consisted of a kitchen, a crafting table, a couple chests, a normal table, and a fire place with a chimney leading up to the roof. The floor was covered in multiple colors of carpets. A ladder led up to the second floor. This floor was home to our beds and personal chests. After we finished organizing all of our supplies, we finally decided to go to sleep. Before we went to sleep, we all decided we would explore the abandoned mineshaft in the morning.
