Abandoned Mineshaft: Part 2

"Here they come!" I yelled pulling out my two iron swords.

"Wait. Since when have you been able to duel wield swords?" Asked Josh as he pulled out a shield and a flint and steel.

I answered placing down a one block high cobblestone wall in front of us, "Not now. We've got a bunch of cave spiders heading our way and they don't look friendly." Just then the first wave of spiders reached the wall. One jumped straight over at me, one took the ceiling, and another took the wall. I ducked as an arrow from Steve hit the spider jumping at me in the head killing it. Josh simultaneously shield bashed the spider on the wall and squashed it like a bug, as that was happening the last spider dropped from the ceiling and into my waiting swords.

"Ok. So how are we going to get to the spawner?" Josh asked as he was wiping off his shield.

I looked at the spawner at the end of the hall and watched it create another wave of spiders. "Josh block attacks and set the webs on fire with your flint and steel. Steve provide covering fire." I turned towards Josh as we got set to move. "I will kill the spiders. You just stop them from hitting us. Let's do this!" I yelled as Josh and I vaulted over the wall and into the horde of spiders heading our way.

We hit the wall of webs as soon as the next wave hit us. Josh slammed his shield down and blocked three consecutive attacks from the spiders. I stepped around Josh and side-stabbed a lunging spider in the head killing it. Then I quickly spun around Josh and repeated the same process of killing with my other sword. Another spider hit Josh's shield and started climbing over the top of it only to be met with an arrow in the head by Steve. At the same time Josh began lighting the webs on fire with his flint and steel. The webs began burning at a fast rate, but not fast enough. We were met again by another wave of spiders.

The fire from the web was catching the oncoming wave on fire and was doing considerable damage. "Josh push forward!"I yelled sprinting forward taking out two more spiders on my way, "Steve arrows everywhere now!"

"Alright!" Both of them yelled in unison. We began progressing forward at a rapid pace. More arrows began to fly past Josh and my head taking out any spiders that jumped to attack us on our way to the spawner. Burning, slashing, and stabbing our way through the webs to the spawner I dove and placed a torch on the side of the spawner.
