We took a couple hours after we woke up on the fifth day to discuss the next stage of the plan for the fort, the traps and defenses. We dug out a room under the main building to use as a command room in case of an attack.

"Me and Steve will dig a tunnel to run a mine cart rail out to each entrance of the wall. We'll add a small entrance building onto the center watchtower of each wall making a trap door to enter the tower from underneath. We'll add a tunnel to get to each tower from under it." I said counting out the resources. "We will also add a chest with bows and arrows to the top of each tower.

After we did what we had previously planned, we stopped for lunch. "I added a wall of dispensers around the main structure that will pop out of the ground via a lever," Josh said sitting down next to us.

"Dang that's boss. I'm going to build some guest houses in the space we left empty," Steve said finishing his lunch.

"I'm going to build a secret storage room down at bedrock," I said stretching.

"Now let's get to it," Josh said standing up.

I hadn't realized how hard it is to breath at bedrock until this point. Oh well. I hollowed out a 15x15x10 room at bedrock and lined it with obsidian. I placed a bunch of large chests labeled with signs to organize all of our items. When that was done I started putting sticky pistons all the way up to the surface. When the lever is flipped, the pistons will retract and ladders will appear to allow passage up or down.

At the surface I hid the passageway with a crafting table that will retract back into the wall when the lever is placed and activated. Josh added traps to each entrance at the walls, so that anyone who entered without permission would be killed. We finally finished the entire fort in six days. We decided to rest and go on a mob hunt.
