The experienced astronauts were the first to stand. Several rushed off like impatient passengers disembarking from a regular plane. Almost everyone else was frozen in place. Joshua's wife, Nessie, was one of the few who weren't. She stood and released her pet Rockruff and Luvdisc to comfort her screaming twins, Megara and Alec. Then she carried them to the bathroom, but not before stopping to gaze at the glittering void outside.
Although Mercury screamed through the launch, he jumped up next. As soon as he caught a glimpse of their shrinking home planet in a porthole, his photographer's nature took over and propelled him out of his seat. Thalassa wasn't sure she could stand. Nor was Callerya. Their limbs trembled so violently that they felt like melting wax figures. They were stupefied by the experienced astronauts who already headed to the cafeterias, though one of those was their friend, the engineer Eden Yi from Alola.
He already repaired space telescopes, satellites and equipment on the moon. His Charizard and Gallade stretched as casually as he did.
'Aren't you coming?'
'N-no!' Thalassa stammered, 'How can you eat at a time like this?!'
Callerya found the strength in her hands to snap a photo of the final member of their group, Jin Oak, because he proclaimed that the launch didn't scare him in the slightest, but still stared blankly at the seat in front as if he just saw the gates of hell. She was sure she heard him screaming.
