Juno POV 

"Ate Syvenne?" Hindi ako makapaniwala sa nakikita ko ngayon? Is this real? I mean- I'm with good terms with my ate Syvenne but coming here in the orphanage unannounced is really questionable. "Aeos said you're here, I need to talk to you with some things." I was about to answer why. when suddenly Calypso came here. "prosecutor Syvenne Aguirre?" She shockingly said. And looking at my sister, mukhang 'di niya rin inaasahan si Calypso, wait- "Do you know each other?" I asked the both of them. 

"No." Ate Syvenne answered. Wow, I felt that they despite each other. Based on Cali and Ate exchange some glances. "Juno, we'll talk later, mag papahinga lang ako." I just nod at her. Mamaya ko nalang a-alamin, if they somehow know each other. "Back to I was saying. Dad wants to talk to you." Oh, after how many years of abandonment. Parang sumikip 'yung dibdib ko. 

"I'm good. I don't need any help from him nor from you and any of my old family." I sad with finality in my voice. Wala akong pake kung ano ang isipin nila. "C'mon Juno! Loosen up. Dad already moved on. He misses you." Miss? really? I turn around to face ate again. "Ate it's late, umuwi ka na. I'll call you again when I come back to Manila tomorrow." 

She sigh in defeat. "Okay, If you change your mind and you want to come home, we'll be waiting sa mansion." And then she bid her goodbye at sumakay na sa itim niyang kotse. "Pasensya ka na Juno, hindi ko alam na hindi pa pala kayo ayos sainyo." Paumanhin ni Sister Ven at niyakap ako. "Nako, wala po 'yon Sister, ayos lang po. Sige po mag pahinga na po kayo. Mauuna na po ako. Magandang gabi po." Paalam ko kay Sister.

Naabutan ko si Cali sa may tabi ng bintana, mukhang nag papahangin ito. "How was your talk?" I put down my things and lay on my bed. "It went okay." Sabi ko pero mukhang hindi siya naniniwala na 'okay' ang naging takbo ng usapan namin ni ate. "How come that you know my sister, Cali?" I asked out of curiosity. "She's my mortal enemy in court." Ah, defense lawyer nga pala si Caly at prosecutor naman si ate. "So- I guess, lagi kayong nag kakatapat sa ilang mga cases?" She nod that confirmed my hunch.

"Yes, and I don't know. She's insecure about my skills as always- that she ended up losing her case." She explained well. May pag ka-insecure talaga si Ate Syvenne, given the fact na she's super competitive. "So- your father is Senator Arthur Aguirre? I didn't realized that when you said 'family of lawyers' you mean you're from the famous Aguirre clan in Sorsogon city huh?" I nod again because she is damn right.

"Now I understand why your whole family is against you, when you chose being a doctor than continuing the legacy of your family." Wala akong masabi. I don't know but I suddenly felt shy around her. She knew my family, I now wonder if she had any idea of how dirty my father is. "How did you know my family?" I asked again. 

"Juno, your clan is freaking famous, specially in the field of law. And yeah, politics too. You have a brother named Alfred Thoth Aguirre, the topnotcher of the bar exam in batch xxxx. And of course, Syvenne. Your mom is Honorable Judge Melissa Aguirre." Hindi ko alam pero I am amazed on how she know my family well. "grand parents, Gregorio and Karmela Aguirre, they are famous for the 1976 Vermont criminal case." 

My lolo greggy...

I was twelve when he died of an heart attack. I suddenly miss him right now. 

"Oh- Juno why are you crying?" Umiiyak na pala ako. Hindi ko 'man lang napansin. "Nothing I just missed my lolo greggy." I said while wiping off my tears on my cheeks. "My father wants me back in Sorsogon." I said and that caught Cali off guard. She didn't expect that I'll say that. "Do you want to go home?"  Umiling ako. "It's not my home. Well, yes but now? Nah, kulungan 'yon para sakin." Paliwanag ko dito. My home are my friends. Aeos, Avi, Denver, and Vionne.
